Two years later,
"Barnes is down."
AJ felt her heart dropped to her stomach when she saw that he wasn't getting up. She gulped as he held his knee. It felt like everything was moving in slow motion like in a movie before she was snapped out of it.
Two team mates helped him up and brought him to the sideline, AJ began to look him over and sent for the stretcher.
"Oh fuck baby it hurts." He whispered
"I know..let's go." She said as they got him on the stretcher. They got him to the ER, after X-rays and MRIs they determined he tore his McL. Which meant he still had to have surgery but it wasn't as bad if he had tore his ACL.
Between doing physical therapy at Dallas Star and AJ helping him at home it didn't take him long to get back on the field after the surgery.
