CHAPTER 6: SWEET LITTLE LIES

"Things come apart so easily when they have been held together with lies."

All Riddhima's mind could think about what she had just listened to, and things she conveniently ignored and long forgotten, she couldn't forgive herself for what happened to Aadhya, how could she think about her happiness? Vansh killed her best friend, the only person who cared about her, how could she only think about her happiness, she felt guilty for liking a person who killed Aadhya, Vansh noticed the look on Riddhima's face from afar, when he moved closer to her. 

"Riddhima? What happened sweetheart? Aren't you happy I am back?" he asked while holding her waist and pulling her closer. "Vansh, I need some time, I can't deal with you right now" Riddhima's answer baffled Vansh, he couldn't understand what happened to her. He followed her into their room, which has changed drastically. "Wow, I thought you just forgot about me, looks like you wanted me out of your life really badly, that nothing in my room is the same, not even the color on the walls"

Riddhima was fuming with anger, until she couldn't control it anymore, "YOU DON'T GET TO PLAY DEAD FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR & HALF AND COME BLAME FOR TRYING TO MOVE ON" she said as loudly as possible. "WITH ARJUN? YEAH RIGHT, NICE CHOICE RIDDHIMA, REALLY PROUD OF THAT" Vansh replied with the same tone. "Are you angry on me right now?? YOU WERE THE ONE WHO HID THINGS FROM ME, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING, You don't get to be angry on me! I should be the one angry on you" Riddhima said hurriedly taking her bags out while packing her clothes. 

" I lied? About what?" he said soo calmly which seemed to irritate Riddhima more. "The actual question should be what didn't you lie about? To correctly term our situation you didn't lie, you fucking hid things from me, things that could make or break our relationship, our entire relationship seems like it was made on a foundation of lies Vansh, you hid about Naina, you hid about your relationship with Arjun, all along I thought you hated him while he was once a crucial part of your life, and US? Let me ask you one thing, when was the first time you saw me?" Riddhima turned around to face Vansh for an answer.

"When you came to interview me, or more precisely when you bumped into me and I scolded you" he answered innocently, "LIE! I read the diary Vansh, you knew 1 year before I even met you or interviewed, yes, I know about the lie, I didn't believe it at first until I remembered how I felt like I saw you before, when you scolded me also the fact that you were in some of my pictures before the year we met, and yes, you are a lousy stalker Vansh" she screamed putting her bag down to leave.

"Wait, what diary-" before Vansh could ask anything more, Riddhima continued without any gap in between "And Aadhya? How could I forget the fact that you killed her Vansh, you were the reason she is dead today, you killed her directly or indirectly" she said piercing his heart.

"I thought we were over this, we love each other Riddhima-" Vansh tried explaining

"Us loving each other doesn't give you a "forgive for everything" flag, you are the reason a person who is absolutely innocent is dead today. Someone just said that this is just a tip of the iceberg of things you are lying and hiding from me" she said trying to leave the room.

"You believe some idiot over me?" he questioned her. "Believe some idiot? He didn't say anything more than what I already know, he just repeated the things that I need to ask you, right now from where I stand I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you." she said walking out.

"Riddhima...RIDDHIMA!!!!" Riddhima woke up with tears in his eyes and looked around to find Vansh sleeping next to her, she walked over to the kitchen and started making tea for herself whilst thinking about the dream she just had.

"Well, that's one way how things could turn out, but I value our relationship Vansh, I want to work it out with you, I want us to work, I want us to get over Aadhya's death, I want you to answer to my questions and I want to learn to trust you again," she thought to herself.

As she sipped her tea, Riddhima decided that she needed to have an honest conversation with Vansh about their past, present, and future. She couldn't let her fear and anger dictate her actions and decisions anymore. She had to confront Vansh and get the truth out of him.

As soon as Vansh woke up in the morning Riddhima was ready to talk to him, "Freshen up, I want to speak to you" she said and Vansh could sense the tension in the room. Vansh walked out of the washroom after a while, "What is it? Is it about Arjun? I know you both were faking it Riddhima, I know you couldn't do that to me" he said calmly sitting next to her and taking her into his arms, "You know everything about me Vansh, I don't know anything about you, I want to blame it on the accident that we didn't get to know each other more, I want to know everything about your past before you met me, I want to trust you again" Riddhima said in a soft voice.

She wanted to deal with some trivial issues and matters like Naina, Arjun and diary before she could move on to heavy matters like Aadhya's death.

HEAVY ASS CHAPTER, PROBABLY GAVE YOU ALL A LITTLE JUMPSCARE WITH THE BEGINNING, BUT HOW IS IT MY BOOK WITHOUT A REALISTIC DREAM SEQUENCE
