Chapter 7 - Gone Girl

"Uh, Nana, where is Indra? We're going to be late for Megumi's game if we don't get moving."

Today is Sports Day at Megumi's school, where she will be playing in a baseball game.

She's pretty excited for us, or more specifically, Indra, to come and watch her in action. But, as always, that boy just has to do something out of the ordinary.

"I have no clue. Akira, is he in his room?"

"No, he's not."

"Mother! I think you'd better come down to the kitchen as soon as possible!" Toshi shouted from downstairs.

I was getting a little worried after hearing his tone of voice, so we quickly rushed downstairs.

"Huh!?" The three of us wondered in shock and utter confusion.

"What in the world...?"

It is at this very moment when I told myself that I should never, ever worry about Indra. This boy astounds me and has angered me to a whole nother level.

"Indra!" I shouted, which startled him and woke him up from his nap. The element of surprise was definitely there as he bumped his head, causing him to rub it in pain. "The fuck are you doing in my freezer!?"

"Ma, I can explain."

Oh, really? How on earth is this boy going to explain something like this? Nonetheless, I'll humour him a little, just to see how this will go.

"I don't know how you're about to explain this, but please do."

"It's really hot."

That's your explanation for sleeping in my freezer!? I am at a loss for words about what the hell I'm supposed to do with this boy.

I could see the other three laughing their hearts out at the predicament this boy has put me in. Kaina and Toshi are laughing so much they're practically gasping for air.

"H-He took a nap in the freezer cause it was hot! Hahahahaha!" Kaina is clearly enjoying this. "Oh, Indra! You're the best! My beautiful boy's the best!"

"Get the fuck out of my freezer right now!" I demanded.

He was clearly nervous as he staggered whilst coming down. If he had never been scared of anything in his life, he better be terrified right now.

"Why the hell were you taking a nap in my freezer!?"

"Like I said before, it's hot. The freezer isn't."

I took a good look at the interior after he had exited and words cannot describe how much my blood boiled after seeing the state of nothingness in it.

"Where the fuck is all my food!?"

I quickly turned around to try and locate where it all went, only to see it on the counter and some in the sink.

"You took all the food out of the freezer for a fucking nap, Indra!? A nap in my freezer!?"

At this point, Kaina and Toshi are already rolling on the floor, laughing their asses off. Akira, despite her best efforts, is still chuckling at this absurd situation.

This is the person she wants to serve? She wants to serve someone who sleeps in the freezer because it was hot? Understanding Indra is one thing, but understanding what Akira's brain is thinking is another level of impossible.

"Ma, it was hot-!"

"Put my fucking stuff back in the freezer right now!" I raised my hands to act like I was about to slap him, which caused him to jerk and stagger back to try to dodge. "Put all of it back the same way you took it out!"
