Admin: Here's just a quick overview of Mary's feelings and relationships with the adults of Home. Most of these are based on RPs I've done in the early days of Mary's existence that helped decide her canon feelings towards the other characters. but if you aren't comfortable with the relationship in my character's canon, we can totally work something out specific to your portrayal.

 ●Wally Darling●

Primarily inspired by interactions with paintdsmile

Mary's favorite of the adults. though she'd never tell the other adults due to her policy of "All my friends are best friends!" She views him as a father figure and will go to him first with any problem or worry she has. He is also the character most often seen having Mary stay with him overnight when her parents are on business trips. (AKA: The writers writing themselves into a corner by not making her parents full characters and realizing an eight year old cannot spend nights with no one else there). Mary also relates to Wally having strange behaviors (due to his autism) that confuse or aren't understood by others as she has them as well (due to her ADHD and GAD) She gets very worried when he's not acting like himself. The painter teaches her the importance of personal expression and how to comfortably be herself when hiding things about her to fit in seems easier.

Julie Joyful●

Primarily inspired by interactions with paastelskiies

Mary views heer as a mother figure and loves spending time with her due to both of them having very energetic personalities. Julie was also the one who helped Mary make her own little garden as the young girl adored the beautiful flowers the candy monster grew. The two enjoy playing dress up together and is who Mary mostly goes to for more tradtionally girly things when she wants to do them as Julie seems comfortable with them, or when Frank is starting to reach his breaking point with the hyper child. The monster teaches her how to care for the world that provides for us and how to find beauty in everything around them.
