It's Friday and you only have one more week until summer vacation. One week until you are out of high school and could start thinking about what you were going to do during thee summer. In the mean time, though, you had to pack up your locker, that has been storing things since freshmen year, turn in your softball jersey, and say goodbye to all of the people, hopefully, never see again. You only had one really good friend. I mean you had a lot of friends but now that you would sacrifice something for, or much less care about. Your best friend that you have has since 7th grade is Sarah. She is the exact opposite of you. She is short and shy. You are tall, 5' 10" and anything but shy.
After the day was done you go over to her house to talk about what you guys are going to be doing over the summer. When you get there things don't seem right. In fact, things seem very very wrong. It was as if time slowed down around you, but you were still moving at regular speed.
You see her lawn full of boxes and furniture is scattered everywhere. On the street there are 2 moving trucks. But this can't be. This could never happen. This was thee place that you two hung out. The place that just last week, the last time you were here, was filled with life and people. The lawn that seemed to shine a bright green, and the familiar glow of the house. Was now gone.
You knew what was happening, but you didn't want to.
Sarah's parents were moving out now that she is about to graduate. Which means, No place to go when you are crying at night about some guy, NO place to relax when your house just seems to be filled to the top with craziness, No place to go after school when you don't want to walk all the way home, No place too spend the night before softball games, NO more memories to be made, But most of all NO more Sarah.
