The Start Of Something Big.
[Chapter 1]

Running through the forest, not looking back. I'm running from- wait, what am I running from? Where exactly am I? I stopped running and started to look around. Looking to my left, looking to my right, then looking behind me. There was a shadow coming closer, and closer, and closer. I started running again, but I was too late. Whatever it was, it grabbed my leg. I fell, trying to get it off and ran, but I was unsuccessful. It consumed me and-

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed, I sat up on a bed, it was just a dream, right? So why did it feel so... real? As if it happened before. Wait.. Where am I?! I start to panic, looking at where I was. I wasn't at my cave in the forest. Was I kidnapped? No, why would I be on the bed and not tied up on the floor? Questions were swarming my head. But they were interrupted by a door opening.

"Ah, you're awake!" A boy with curly blonde hair, dark smooth skin, and yellow eyes said quite surprised. Why did he have yellow eyes? They didn't look like contacts. Even with the questions I had about him I still jumped out of bed and got into a fighting position. "Easy there! You'll get yourself hurt." The man said. "I know you must be really confused. I'm Mindo, I'm 19 and the mayor of this village. At our weekly food gathering, I saw you passed out in a cave bleeding out through your head as if someone bang your head against the wall. I brought you back to the village and here we are!" Mindo explains making sure to sum it quickly and well. "Oh and, state your name, age, and your business." Mindo commands. "My name's Bria, never call me that though, call me Brownie, I'm 13, and I was living in a forest and I don't recollect my past besides that." I say, looking at his surprised face I could tell the questions he was going to ask, but surprisingly he didn't ask me anything.

"Oh and why are your eyes yellow?" I ask, curiously. "Oh because I'm a Masign." He answers so casually. "You're a what now?" I asked, confused as hell. "You must've lost a LOT of your memories. A Masign is basically a human but with powers, some of them don't really have the body of a human like elves, dragons, fairies, faeries, mermaids, and the list goes on. Since I have yellow eyes, I'm a peaceful Masign." Mindo explains. "You guys are at war with humans, correct?" I ask, Mindo looks startled at the sudden question.

"Did you hear the villagers whispering about you?" He asks. "I mean it's not really whispering, just talking, and the windows are opened here-" I get cut off by Mindo closing the window. "Sorry, continue." He says. I clear my throat. "Ehem. So yeah I think you weren't so "subtle" about it." I continued. "Yes we are at war with humans, not because we want to though. Humans are scared and angry at us. They believe we are cursed and we are "devils" so they started a war and now we only have a few villages left and they are all one kingdom." He responded. "Damn, that's terrible, I'm sorry that's happening to you guys, I can see why the villagers aren't fond of me." I said

"You want to stay here? I mean you can live with me. I have like 3 extra bedrooms." He asked me. "Oh! You sure your parents won't mind?" I asked and Mindo went silent after that. Oh crap does- does he not have parents? "I sorta don't have parents anymore." Mindo responded. I quickly cover my mouth. "OH MY LESEI(leh-see), I'M SO, SO, SO SORRY." I apologized loudly. "It's fine, want me to show you around the village?" He asked me trying to change the topic. "Of course!"

Mindo showed me the village, the fountain, the wishing well, the shops, and the restaurants. It was so amazing. The decorations everywhere, the small details. But.. the Masigns obviously didn't like me because I was human, so I obviously got some weird stares and rude looks. I'm pretty sure Mindo noticed them because I could sense him progressively getting more and more annoyed with the village people. But there were a few people who didn't mind me. I saw Mindo talk to one of them, she had long blonde hair, red eyes, and looked around his age, maybe 18? I saw another person who shyly smiled and waved at me when we were at the library. They had short dark brown hair and yellow eyes. The others I didn't really remember.

Mindo pressed a button, I'm guessing it was a meeting button because the villagers started gathering around. There was a bunch of whispering throughout the crowd. Some of the whispers were like "A human?" Most of them were "He shouldn't be mayor, if only his dad didn't die so stupidly." Is it always like this? Because that's a litt- no it is too far

Before Mindo could grab the mic to make his announcement I quickly took the mic. "OKAY, EVERYONE SHUT THE F#CK UP." I yelled and the crowd went silent. Mindo signaled for me to be quiet "YOU GUYS ARE SKEPTICAL BECAUSE I'M A HUMAN AND HUMANS HAVE DONE A LOT TO YOU, BUT YOU KNOW WHO HAS DONE A LOT FOR YOU? MINDO. YET YOU JUDGEMENTAL #SSES TREAT HIM LIKE HE WAS A HUMAN. HE IS DOING HIS BEST OR AT LEAST BETTER THAN YOU ALL. SO SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR MAYOR HAS TO SAY." Nobody said a word after that and I passed the mic back to Mindo.

Mindo clears his throat. "As you all know we have a human here, age 13, a human that has Amnesia. When I found her she was passed out and blood was coming from her head. So that proves she was attacked, most likely in her sleep too since she says she just remembers sleeping. So it is possible that." Mindo stops.
