She was at the egde. At the border between life and death, yet neither of them would accept her. So she laid there in puddle of blood. But for once in her life it wasn't someone else's blood. It was hers.
She had nothing left, her life was irrelevant, no one cared what would happen to her. She just laid there dying, feeling life drains out of her. But something was wrong, it felt like the other side wouldn't accept her, forcing her to live. It was unfair, why would anyone decide about her life, it was her and only her decision.
Her vision became blurry, she begged death to come to her. Why would she live, no one needed her, she was waste of time for even her own parents. They should have killed her back then, but they were too weak for that. Maybe she was weak to. No, she wasn't weak, only strong people have strengh to hurt themselfs, let alone kill themselfs.
She looked down at her wrists, flesh peeking out from under her tanned skin. She wasn't disguised, she's seen worse thing in her life. Much worse.
Death remained unmoved by her pleas, but someone else appeared instead. It was Her, girl's best and only friend. And as she looked at Her, she felt that life was coming back to her. Her wounds on her wrists were healing and she was thrust back into the world of the living.
With that She disappeared, almost as She's never been there. The girl got up, feeling suspiciously good considering the fact that just moments ago she almost bled out. So she lived, questiuon was for how long.
Even though she was alive, she never left the egde between life and death. She felt like an empty shell, without feelings, able only to ghosthunt, but that was enough for her.
Because Kala was lost before.
But that night she's lost herself completely.
