YN woke up, an irritated expression coating her face. Her alarm was blaring at an unholy hour of the morning, making her want to tear her hair out.

She smashed the snooze button, holding back a little as to not break her alarm clock. She checked the flashing red numbers on the clock to see that it was 4:00am. She collapsed back into the soft blankets, annoyed. School only started at 8 am. She remembered setting it for 7, so she concluded that her clock was indeed broken.

YN wanted to try something different. She didn't have any 'girlfriends' so trying out for the cheerleading squad would kill two birds with one stone. Make new friends all the while trying something new, maybe even fun.

Her (e/c) eyes stayed glued to the pale blue ceiling. While moving here, your parents panted your room a pale blue, even adding a few clouds here and there. Staring at it in the darkness always soothes her, and makes her feel tranquil.

After a few more minutes of staring, an idea started to brew in her head.

She swung her feet off the bed, slowly sneaking towards the window. No, she wasn't sneaking out. She just wanted to stare at a real sky.

She climbed out of her room and on the roof of her house where she could see the sun starting to rise in the distance.

Most enjoy dusk, but YN loved dawn. She enjoyed the though of a new day. Hopefully, a good day.

The moon was still out, stars sprinkled about in the sky, and her mind couldn't help but wander. She though of the boy with the black hair and the striking Caribbean blue eye. Stan Marsh.

You could say she had a little bit of a crush on him. Well, that's how she'd put it.

She tried lots of things to try and get his attention but none of them worked, of course. She even befriended his older sister Shelly. YN still hangs out with Shelly to this day, she even considers her a close friend.

She took a deep intake of air, closing her eyes and leaning back against her house, as she did her phone buzzing out of her pocket and onto the roof next to her. She didn't remember grabbing her phone, she must've done it self-consciously.

She picked it up in a swift motion, the screen lighting up on its on as she observed it.

Craig [4:27am]
- I know you're awake

YN [4:28am]
- Yep

Craig [4:28am]
- Can I come over?

YN [4:29am]
- Dude, it's really early.

Craig [4:29am]
- We can get to school together.

YN [4:29am]
- Alright, come over.

Craig [4:30am]
- Already on my way.

She waited for her raven haired friend to arrive on the roof. It was more convient that way. She would be able to spot him and go open the door for him before he knocked and woke up the whole house.

Finally spotting his unmistakable blue hat from down the road, she crawled to her window and made her way back into her room, all the while trying to stay as quiet as possible.

She tip-toes out of her room and down the flight of stairs where the outside door was and opened it before he had a chance to knock.

"Hey Craig."

"YN." He acknowledged her with a nod, pushing past her and into the house. She closed the door with a silent thud as they made their way up to her room.
