Deku's POV

I stared out the door y/n left through, anger building inside of me. Can't she see that I'm trying to make it better?

"Well that didn't go well" Mr. L/n said to me while smiling. Oh yeah I forgot that they heard the entire conversation. "I'm sorry I guess I got a little too carried away" I told him while looking away

"You're alright, come let's go eat we don't want the food to get cold now" he said back to me. I guess she was right, I was getting a little distant from her, but why didn't she talk to me about it?

I guess I should've thanked her that she helped me be closer to Uraraka. The bruises on her body does look more noticeable before. And her eyes bags as well. Even tho she gained a lot of muscle her face does look a little thinner.

I stared at the food embarrassed, not sure what my next move with y/n was going to be.

Y/n's POV

School was the usual as always and Midoriya and I went back to ignoring each other, sometimes we'll have an awkward glance but he quickly looks away. I often wondered what was going on inside his head whenever he stared at me.

I turned my attention back to Mr. Aizawa who said something about training today, "I'm going to give you a partner, that person is going to be the one you're going to be training and going up against with. Now let me start..." the class cheered once he said that we will be training, I again zoned out waiting for him to pair me up with someone or if I was going to train with him since we had an odd number of students. "Midoriya and L/n. Okay find your partners and head outside. We don't got all day" he said annoyed.

I could tell the class was staring at the green haired boy and at me. I saw how Izuku flinched once he heard I was pairing up with him. I still had a poker face when I stood up heading outside with Midoriya following behind me.

The first pair to go up was Kirishima and Mina, as they went up the rest of the class stared waiting for the match to finish. Anxiously waiting for their turns. I looked down at my hero costume, not liking how tight it was on me.

"Bakugou wins this match. Now it's L/n vs. Midoriya" I heard Mr. Aizawa say. Everyone stopped what they were doing and they stared at us waiting to see how this was going to go down. Everyone knew what happened between you and that green haired boy.

You stared at him. He wasn't the same nerdy boy you'd known, and adored, back in middle school. He did admit, he was a little scared, now was the time to get your anger out at him.

He did the first move "...smash!" He yelled out, but you simply looked at him annoyed , you're feet not moving.

"Y/n get out the way he's going to hurt you!" I heard Kirishima yell as well as the other students. You simply smirked. Once he got close to you, you grabbed his arms stopping him from touching you. You turned him around and kicked him sending him flying forward. Everyone stared at you with awe including Mr. Aizawa, surprised that you weren't hurt.

You walked closer to the boy who was slowly standing back up. You grabbed him by the collar pulling your arm back. Everyone was thinking that you were gonna punch him, including Midoriya. But your hand went flying next to his face, punching the concrete wall behind him. The wall breaking into tiny pieces.

Everyone was shocked but didn't say anything scared for your next move.

"I hate you" you whispered to him before walking away back to your classmates with tears in your eyes. You didn't have the strength to actually hurt Midoriya. You couldn't, no matter how bad you wanted to.

"Uh.....L/N is the winner of this match."

I was looking around the lunchroom not really sure where to sit until you heard your name being called out. "Y/n come eat with us over here!" You looked to see Sero waving his arms at you. You walked over to them and sat down while thanking the group for inviting you.

"You looked so manly while fighting Deku!" I heard Kirishima say, I nodded taking the compliment before eating again.

"Not to freak you out bruises but that shitty nerd is staring at you" bakugou said

"Okay" I simply told him

"When was the last time you talked to that nerd?" Bakugou asked me

"Hmm... it's been a couple of weeks but it led to an argument" I said while looking away.

"That shitty-"

"But I'm doing okay. I don't mind anymore"  I told him, he looked back at Deku before nodding his head
