It was now Monday morning when Danny's alarm clock went off so we could get ready. The rest of the weekend flew by but it was exhausting the family left on Saturday and we spent all of yesterday cleaning.
I leaned further into Danny's chest and groaned because it was way too early.
"I know gorgeous, but we have to go to the studio." Daniel said grabbing me tighter
"Ok but,I need some coffee"
"You get dressed and I will go get us coffee."
"Thank you love bug" I said kissing him on the cheek and rolling out of bed.
It was quite cold now in Tennessee so I threw on some ripped skinny jeans,an oversized hoodie and threw my hair up in a messy bun. Danny brought my coffee,and we finished getting ready.
We arrived at the studio and messed and joked around for a few minutes before getting back to work.
At first it was all of us in the booth recording our song all together Josh and I bouncing off of each other's echoes. Every once and a while I would catch Danny staring and smiling at me while still playing. After about three or four takes, the boys needed a break but something was still bothering me about the way I sang one of my harmonies. So I continued to stay and listen to the track again and worked on my harmonies with Josh's recording ,but I noticed a young girl walking into the sound room. She was gorgeous but it wasn't my first time seeing her in there and definitely not the first time I saw her talking with Danny .She walked up to Daniel and my eyes were glued to the two of them looking at something on the tablet she brought in .
They were both smiling and giggling at whatever they were looking at and then she kinda leaned into him to playfully nudge him when they both made eye contact with me. The girl then picked herself up and scurried out.
The rest of the day I was aloof but somehow put all of my emotions into the recording and I finally agreed with the boys on one take.
When we got home it was pretty late,Sam was in his room and Daniel and I were on the couch. I was being quiet and he was getting anxious.
"Babe are you ok? You have been really quiet since lunch."
"Yeah Im fine." I said snappily
"Don't lie I can hear it in your voice.Tell me please ,what's wrong?"
"Who is she?" I said upset
"Who is who?" He said confused
"Don't play dumb ... that girl from the studio!" I said starting to raise my voice.
"Woah, love listen to me she is no one just one of our assistants."
He said trying to grab my hand but I shook it off
"Oh yeah sure because a pretty girl like her wouldn't have the most massive crush on a hot well known guitarist like you. I have seen her in the studio multiple times talking to you like that , the way she looks at you says otherwise." I said getting up.
he began to follow me "babe no you have got it wrong this is a huge misunderstanding!"
I started up the stairs
"Kya,stop!" He said firmly
He said my name, and it shook me to my core
I began to turn on the balls of my feet, my face was drenched in tears,and my body was shaking. I began to break down and folded onto the floor.
"Baby... look at me" he said as he ran up the stairs,sat me up and wrapped his arms around me.
"What?" I said still crying
"I need you to listen to what I am about to say" he cupped my face and made my eyes meet with his. "There is no other person on this entire planet that I will ever love more than you, especially not a silly assistant that knows absolutely nothing about music ,but Kya you have to know that no matter what happens,ever,that nothing could ever make my feelings for you change."
I sniffled as I leaned my head on his shoulder. "You promise?"
"Of course my love,and hey if you really want to know what we were talking about, it was supposed to be a surprise but I have been working with our assistant to fly you and the girls up to Frakenmuth with us for Christmas." He smiled
"Really that is so sweet Danny, now I feel like shit I am so sorry I was so jealous.I just don't know what I would do without you."
"I know baby girl and I am sorry for being so sneaky.I love you."
"I love you too." I hugged him strongly as he hugged me back
We then got up and walked to our room and headed to bed.
The next morning I was drained from the emotional roller coaster that the day before had been,but I woke up and smelt something cooking so I went downstairs.
Danny had invited the girls over and he was cooking breakfast for all of us when the girls all hugged me and told me how excited they were to go to Michigan with us. I looked at Daniel with a smile and he winked at me.
The twins eventually walked through the door as well; late as usual.
Only 5 of us knew how soon this new album was dropping and it was killing me not to tell the girls.
Two weeks later, the girls came barreling down the driveway,so fast they almost hit the house. They all barged in while I was still sipping my coffee in Danny's arms on the couch.
"Well good morning to you too." I said
"Bitch were you not going to tell us.?!" Cait said pissed off
"Yeah geez you could've let us know to be on our toes." Kk added
"Surprise?!" I said nervously
"Where are the twins?and why aren't they here you would think they would want to see our reactions when he hear it for the first time." Meg snapped just as the twins pulled brown the driveway
"Happy Album release da"- Josh said opening the door and catching the girls' expressions "or not"
"Yeah hey gorgeous why the square expression?" He asked Cait
"Because none of y'all told us and of course now we have to wait 16 more hours!" She said
"We wanted to surprise you girls we thought it would be more special besides, you girls will still be the first to hear it" Sam interjected
"What do you mean?" Meg asked
"All of you come on." Danny said getting off the couch and leading us all to the music room. He shut the door behind us and the twins queued up the speakers and began playing the unreleased album for us early. The girls' anger dissipated quickly when the music started. For the next hour we all sat there in our couples and listened to and enjoyed the album including the song I was featured in.
Once it was over the girls were in shock and in awe from how amazing it was , I mean come on even I was blown away by the album.
"Well what do you think?" Josh asked
"Oh my fuck that was amazing!" Meg exclaimed as we all agreed.
For the rest of the day we all sat around and talked about how amazing the album was and the girls started talking about new PR and other band things and the boys seemed open to everything.
And I just sat there in awe of how cool it was to be where I was , in the love of my life's arms and being able to live out his dream with him.
