Dear my love Jenna,
It's been too long since I last saw you, and I miss you enough that I have actually written you a letter.
I know that this is not how we wanted to spend our first years of marriage, but it had to be done. I remember when I saw the look on your face when you heard that we could someday start over in the colonies.
I promise you that will happen.
But as of now, I have to prepare for our new lives and check to see if this new land is safe for you to come. I would feel forever guilty if something ever happened to you Jenna.
In truth, I think that this place is it, but I'm not sure because people tell me that the winter is harsh and cold. I couldn't have you or our future children freezing to death.
I know that you're ready to move already, but just wait, because one of these days you'll get a letter from me saying it's time.
