Chapter 3

It was the next day. I got up at 10 am. I went and ate breakfast. I got dressed in warmer weather clothes since it is Hawaii. I got out of my hotel room, placing my key in my purse.

I hopped into a cab. I wanted to go find Danny first thing. But I decided to go have fun then find him. Even though I felt the whole in my chest that has been there since he left.

I got to the north shore. I went and sat at a picnic table and watched the ocean. I felt the sun hit my skin. It felt really good. It's nearly impossible to feel sun on your back in Jersey.

When I got done, I decided it was finally time to find danny. I got to the place where he worked. People here call it the palace. I got inside and went to the front desk. There was a girl at the desk. She had a five-o badge. If I have any shot at finding him, she'll be able to help.

"Hi, um, do you work with the five-o task force?" I asked. As she turned around to face me. She smiled at me.

"Yes, I do. I'm Officer kono Kalakaua. Is there something I can help you with? " she asked. Introducing herself. I shook her hand.

"Uh yeah, you can do you know a detective that goes by Danny Williams. I believe he works with you, " I said. She smiled and motioned to follow her. She gave me a visitor badge.

"So what's your name?" Kono asked. I looked at her and smiled. Kono is a very sweet person to be a cop.

"I'm Hailey. Nice to meet you," I introduced myself. She shook her head. She looked at me and then looked away.

"Um, how do you know Danny?" Kono asked. As we excited the elevator. I looked at my feet.

"Oh, uh, we were old friends wanted to reconnect," I said as my heart started to race. We got to the glass door. I saw four boys standing at a computer. One, I recognized the person I came here to find danny.

"Danny, someone is here for you," kono said, walking in first. Danny looked back at her. He hasn't changed a bit since he left.

"Who?" Danyy asked. Kono looked back and saw I wasn't inside. I was so nervous to go in. I came all this way not to go through with this. No, I came to find danny.

"Are you expecting anyone, danny?" Someone asked. Danny shook his head no. I was so scared to walk through the door I, but I did anyway.
