Chapter 2

The day finally arrived, where I was going to find danny. It's been over 10 years, and I hope he remembers me. I got to the airport.  I went through the luggage and gate. I was sitting in the waiting area.

I felt my heart race. I'm so nervous, and for what, it's not the first time I've seen him. But the first in so many years. I wonder when we see each other he calls me my nickname he gave me.

I was finally seated on the plane. I wasn't paying any attention. That was until I had to put my buckle on since we were taking off. It was gonna take me at least over 11 hours to get there.

This flight could not get any longer. We finally reached LAX. I left the plane to get my luggage to go on the last plane to O'ahu. I did the same waiting game for my gate to be called. I got on the last plane for the last five hours.

The plane landed in ohau. I got out of the airport. I went out and waited for a cab. One pulled up. The cab asked if I needed a ride. I got in and told him my destination. We got to my hotel I was staying at.

I gave the driver the money he required from his service. I went to the receptionist and told her my room number. She gave me my room key. I got to my room and unlocked it. It was beautiful. I placed my luggage down and opened my balcony door.

I looked out and saw the beautiful ocean. I smelled I the salty sea air. It's a whole lot different than Jersey. But I see why people call it paradise. I felt my jet lag come on. So I decided that I would have to look for Danny tomorrow.

The first part of the plan. Get to O'ahu check. Second, find danny and reconnect. I wonder how hard the second part was gonna be.

Danny's pov

I was in my office thinking. I looked at one of the pictures that was on my desk. It was a picture of me and Hailey. I smiled at it. I wonder how and where she is. Iv never missed someone more than her.

I heard my door open. It was Steve. I put the picture down. He pointed to the other room. I got up and walked to the computer.

As we were talking about the case. I was thinking of Hailey. I haven't seen or talked to her since I left. I wonder if she still is gonna keep that promise.

"Danny, are you ok?" Kono asked. Snapping me back to reality. I looked at her, and everyone was staring concerned. I shook my head, getting the thought of Hailey out of my head.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine," I said. I'm shaking it off. I wonder if she is even thinking about me. Probably not she has better things to be concerned with.
