Isn’t she his student?

Ren Chongda, who arrived on an antique bicycle, heard this voice as it passed through the air.

When he turned away, he exclaimed,

“Right there! Isn’t that Cao Yong?”

Why was Cao Yong watching Xie Wanying?

Xie Wanying was walking with her head down, oblivious to her surroundings.

The sound of a bicycle abruptly approaching her from behind startled her. “Ms. Xie Wanying.”

When Xie Wanying looked up, she was stunned to see Counselor Ren’s face. She couldn’t help but feel nervous. It took her a few seconds before addressing him.

“Counselor.”

Ren Chongda found it funny to see her frightened. This girl had behaved too calmly in his class before, this wasn’t like her.

“Have you eaten yet?” Ren Chongda asked.

“No, counselor,” she replied.

“Then let’s go over there and talk a little.”

Xie Wanying recalled that Zhao Zhaowei had previously advised her to initiate contact with Counselor Ren, but she didn’t know what to do if he was the one who initiated it.

She had no choice but to follow him.

He seemed to be going to eat.

They walked into the corner in front of a large restaurant. He leaned his bike against the wall and then turned around to shout to someone,

“Cao Yong!”

Xie Wanying turned her head towards the direction where he shouted and spotted a man’s silhouette under the moonlight.

At first glance, she already felt that the man was handsome. At second glance, she remembered him standing at the hospital entrance as he was laughing and talking with a group of students. He had two small dimples in the corners of his mouth and clear, bright eyes.

Now at third glance, he stood in front of her — with a black striped shirt, sleeves emphasizing his strong arm muscles. He had his hand inside his pants’ pocket, showing his usual handsome style. Through his bangs, you could see his rare, beautiful bright eyes.

The problem was that this man is a doctor. Xie Wanying thought that him being a doctor was such a waste, he could be one of the most popular celebrities!

The strange thing, though, was that when he saw her not moving, he also didn’t move at all — as if he was restrained by something. His eyes scanned her face like an x-ray machine.

Xie Wanying could only blink in a daze.

In all fairness, she knew that she had seen him, but she also knew that he couldn’t have known her.

Suddenly, another man with glasses approached them from behind. He was quite curious to see them standing still. He then walked to Ren Chongda and pushed him playfully.

“What’s the matter with these two?

Who is she?”

“The girl is a student from my class,”

Ren Chongda answered.

“Oh, the only one in your class, right? The one whom I heard made you, Counselor Ren Chongda, knock on the first day.”

The man with glasses started laughing out of the blue.

Ren Chongda seemed to have no choice but to curl the corners of his mouth.

“I also heard that you call her a little princess, but turns out she’s a little queen.”

“Come on, Zhu Huicang, you’ve never been a counselor, you don’t know how difficult it can be. How dare you.”

Zhu Huicang?

Xie Wanying immediately remembered the information disclosed by Zhao Zhaowei.

Zhu Huicang, one of the Three Musketeers, was the only senior who stayed in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. Cardiothoracic surgery was the department she aspired to go to. Xie Wanying turned around quickly to find out what kind of person this senior was.

The other three soon spotted her unusual move.

They witnessed her eyes — which were always as calm as water — suddenly turning into little bright stars, twinkling at someone.
