"Hey Marcus." I said as I answered the phone.

"Hey Brianna."

"What did Kaylen say about the family gathering " I asked while cooking breakfast.

"She said she would love to join us."

"Oh really let me speak to her." I said knowing he was lying.

"Ok, here she is." he said as he handed Kaylen the phone.

" Hey Bri whats up." Kaylen said in a sleepy voice.

"Are you joining us at family gathering?" I asked.

"Um, Yeah." she said softly.

"You ok?"

"No I don't want to be rejected like last time." Kaylen said on the verge of crying.

"Kaylen if my mom says anything out of line I will confront her this time. Can you please come I haven't seen you in a while" I said trying to convince her to come.

"I'll come just for you and Marcus."

"Thank you, I can't wait to see you." I said trying to make her feel better.

"I can't wait to see you too. Your brother wants to talk to you"

"Ok."

"Brianna." Marcus said whispering.

"Why are you whispering?" I asked.

"I have to tell you something and I don't want Kaylen to hear me." He said still whispering.

"I need you to help me Propose to Kaylen."

"Oh my gosh Forreal?" I replied.

"Yeah so would you." He asked knowing I would say yes.

"Of course I would be honored to." I said in excitement.

"So when are you proposing."

"Today at the family gathering."

"That would be perfect."

"I gotta go ill talk to you about this later."

"Ok bye." I said as I hung up.

I am so excited they are finally getting married after 6 years of being together. I hope she says yeah, she will say yes I just know she will.

I sat in the bathroom waiting for the pregnancy test to see if I pregnant. Tons of things ran through my mind as I sat there. Will Marcus leave me or will he man up and be a father for this child if I'm pregnant. Then I thought abut what happened between me and Dewayne a few weeks ago. What if this is his kid and not Marcus's. I would never forgive myself if it is. Marcus loved me through the good and bad he took care of me but Dewayne only wanted one thing from me and of course me being stupid i gave it. I looked at my phone to see how many minutes I had left. Three more minutes I got on my knees and prayed beside the toilet.

"God I know that I haven't talked to you lately but please listen to my prayer...."

"God If I'm Pregnant please let this child be Marcus's and not Dewayne's ." I said as tears streamed down my face.

Then my alarm went off telling me the test was ready. I got up then took a deep breath and grabbed the pregnancy test. I looked up and said and said a quick prayer. I looked at the test and it had two lines. As soon as I seen that I feel to the ground and started crying with the test held to my chest.
