♥Chp. 05♥

I sat in my room at my desk adding the finishing touches to my project I had for school. Until I got interrupted by a bright light.

"Kaylen Marie. What are you doing up so early?" My mom said leaning on the door.

"I'm just finishing my project for school." I said typing away on my computer.

"Kaylen I thought you told me you already finished it." 

"I did I'm just checking it." I replied.

"And why didn't you do it last night?" She said getting suspicious. Knowing I was on the phone with Marcus.

"I had to do something." I said facing her but not looking her in her eyes.

"You better not been on the phone with that boy again." she said as she crossed her arms. 

"I wasn't I was talking to Taliah." I lied.

"You better have. Now go get dressed before I leave your butt at home." she replied as she began to walk downstairs.

"Ok, mom." I got out my chair and walked to the bathroom.

I jumped in the shower and stayed in there for 10 mins thinking about my conversation I had with Marcus last night. I really liked Marcus he was such a gentlemen and he treated me right too. My cheeks started to get hot the longer I thought about him. I stepped out the shower and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my body.

I grabbed my phone off the bathroom counter to see who texted me. "Good morning beautiful I enjoyed our conversation last night :)." His texts always brightens up my day.

"Kaylen Marie hurry up I have to get to work in 20 mins." My mom yelled from downstairs.

"Ok, I'll be down."

 I put down my phone and started to get ready. I washed my face, brushed my teeth and curled my hair. I went to my closet to see what I was gonna wear for the day. I grabbed my acid washed jeans a burgundy and gold crop top that said #Bae.

Then I slipped my promise ring on my parents gave me and then I grabbed my black vans and then ran down the stairs.

"You have 5 mins to eat breakfast I'll be in the car." My said as she walked out the door.

I scarfed down my food, threw my shoes on, and grabbed my project then headed out the door. Lucky school wasn't too far from us.

"Kaylen I have a meeting after work. Then after that I have to pick your dad from work, so I’ll be kind of late picking you up from school." she said as she drove out of the driveway.

"Ok, I’ll just go home with Taliah." I replied as texted Marcus back.

My moms phone started to ring knowing her it might be her boss calling again.

“Hey Tina whats the problem now.” she said as she rolled her eyes. I started to hear her boss freaking out on the phone.

“Calm down I'll be there in 10 mins.”

“No I haven't bought your coffee yet I'm dropping my daughter off at school now.”

"Hold on Tina, Bye Kaylen." she said putting her boss on hold.

"Bye, mom."

When I got into the school I walked straight to my locker and put in my combination.
