"Definitely one of Half-Sight's descendants," Reedtail growled.
"His daughter would be dead," Spiraltail said uncertainly.
"She's alive," Reedtail hissed. "That fool from the vision proves it!"
"But even if it is a possibility, that doesn't mean it's going to happen."
"How about you both stop?" Russetfire huffed. "I know, you're all restless because your jobs are so hard and you have so many responsibilities as warriors, but surely even you dolts know not to fight with each other in times like these? You've all said so yourselves on multiple occasions."
Reedtail snarled and stalked around the tree to inspect it.
A few moments after the ongoing silence, Reedtail announced that she apparently needed to be somewhere, and ran off.
"Suspicious," Whitestripe muttered.
"Very," Russetfire commented.
"Should we head back to camp?" Ashpelt asked. "Reedtail's probably gone off to hunt."
"Sure. And speaking of Reedtail," Russetfire added, "why would she be hunting if Coldpaw's not with her?"
"She wanted him to stay behind. He and the other apprentices deserve their break."
"You're not bringing back the traitor theory, are you?" Spiraltail wondered.
"Of course not," Russetfire said. "I just think it's rather strange how she disappeared so suddenly without explaining herself properly."
"Fair. Fine, let's go back. Reedtail can find her way back to ThunderClan."
Whitestripe nodded and ran ahead, followed by Ashpelt and Spiraltail. Russetfire glanced behind her shoulder, suspicious of Reedtail, and ran in an attempt to catch up to her friends.
