"I hate you so much," Bandit mumbled to herself as Leena walked away to sleep under a tree. Bandit wished she could do the same but she couldn't. She has too much to worry about in a world like this. With Leena around, those worries became more aggressive.

Leena obviously was oblivious to the world falling apart around them. When it first started, Bandit has tried to escape the school's gym where they were staying and Leena had found her, thinking she was running off with Jason - Leena's crush.

Jason was probably dead by now, but did Leena believe Bandit? Nope, not in anything. Bandit had to stay up late at night now to watch for walkers, barely getting any sleep because Leena refused to do it. Leena would probably get both of them killed anyways.

Bandit was sure she looked horrible. Definitely had dark, dark circles under her eyes from staying up way too long. And while she lived horribly - eating bugs and insects, some plants when she could find healthy ones - any meat they got, went to Leena. Anything left - if there was any - went to Bandit. Of course, it had to be cooked perfectly for Miss. Pageant Girl Leena Robinson.

Bandit glared down at the pageant girl enviously. She looked peaceful and she certainly didn't have any dark circles under her eyes. Her skin was still pale, even after being under the sun almost every day, though there was a hint of tan.

Her brown hair was still brushed perfectly and straight as paper. Even after the apocalyptic disease struck, Leena still looked beautiful. SNAP! Bandit's head rose up in worry and she quickly grabbed Leena, pulling her onto Bandit's back. No matter how much she hated the girl, she didn't want her to die.

It was hard to wear a heavy backpack and carry a sleeping girl, but Bandit managed fine. She had ran track back in school and with that she had ran up and down her street everyday for three years. She'd gotten so good that she started to run barefoot down the sidewalk.

So, in conclusion, her stamina and speed could go on for hours non-stop but she didn't need to run that fast this time. Only a quick jog and she could be away from whatever made the twig snap in the forest. Bandit heard a low groan and realized that the thing was a walker.

In a rush of adrenaline, she ran - instead of jogging like she planned - out of the forest and into a field. She noticed a small farmhouse with a barn and a few cars parked outside. There must be people, she thought happily.

Bandit slowed her pace to a speed-walk. Her legs had started to wobble and her hands started to slip from under Leena's legs. She heard shouts of the people from the farmhouse ring out. Maybe, just maybe, they had seen her and was coming to find her.

Maybe. The world had started to go dizzy and Leena had fallen off her back and onto the ground. Leena's groans of pain sounded out and Bandit pulled up her black bandana before finally giving up on walking and fell.

Running sounds came closer and she didn't have to strength to see if it was a walker or the people. Instead, her body shut down on her and she slept peacefully for the first time in a long week.
