"Wake up! How many times do I have to tell you? Today is important. I will pull you down here myself if I have to." My mother yelled from downstairs. I groaned and got out of bed. What a crazy dream I had. In the dream my mother told my sister and I were witches and that she is as well. And in the whole thing, I am part of a super old prophecy.
I made it down stairs to see a big breakfast, Hannah already digging in, and my mom as well. "Um what is this all for? And Hannah, what are you doing wearing pink?" I said astonished. They both laughed and continued eating after I sat down next to Hannah. "Im wearing pink well because. I dont know. And the breakfast is so we have enough energy." Hannah replied. Energy. Energy for what?
After eating five pancakes, four eggs, a blueberry banana smoothie, and cranberry muffin, I was stuffed. "Ok girls. Stand up." Mom said. We stood up and she waved her hands in a circle, having them face every part of the kitchen. She then snapped and there was a huge blast. There was a brief moment where I felt naked. Everything turned different. The whole kitchen was like a huge crowded place with jars containing different things, a huge pot in the center, bigger kitchen, different objects of stuff I have never seen, and a huge mark on the roof that looked just like the one mom has on her ankle. When I looked down at my self, I was wearing a black and blue gown with straps that flowed all around me and a silk black hat with blue lacing on my head. The hate just looked. Like. A. Witches.... oh.... It wasn't a dream after all. "Welcome to the room which is known as, the witch's kitchen. Here you will do some baking, potion making, keep magical items, and where you will recieve your own book of shadows and book of mirrors. A book of shadows is different for everyone. Each one contains different spells and information. A book of mirrors is the same, except you write your thoughts and dreams in it. Gather around the couldron. Lets get you your own books, own wand or staff, and tarot cards." She said. What a way to put a huge thing on someone. The three of us circled the couldron. Hannahley let out a yelp as Damaris pulled a hair from her and drop it in the couldron. After a second, the liquid in the couldron bubbled and out popped a giant green spark. It circled Hannah then turned into a purse that looked just like her favorite one. She grabbed it and put it on. "What the heck?" She asked. She looked over the purse, nothing seemed different. "Look inside." Mom said. Hannah opened it and looked. "There is nothing in it." She said confusingly. "Reach inside and think, um, book of shadows." Mom replied. Hannah took her right hand and reached inside. Instead, half of her arm went in it. She then pulled out a giant book. On the leather-bound book was the same mark that mom had and actually every witch has except me. The book was medium in length and large in width. "That. Is. Awesome!" Exclaimed Hannah, almost dropping the book on her foot. "The best part about it is that you are the only one who can access it. Ok your turn Aqua." Damaris said. She plucked a hair from me and through it in the couldron. After a few seconds the liquid in the couldron turned super white then completely black, then back to white, then back to white over and over again. It eventually turned gray then out came a large grey spark that circled all around me then turned into ash. Going all over me. "What happened?" I asked, very very confused. "Oh it's alright. You just got the same kind of thing your grandmother has, and her grandmother, and so on. It's where you can just think of the item that you want and it appears before you. Try your wand or staff, just think it." Mother replied. And so I did. I thought hard and carefully, then there was a popping sound. Right next to me was a long wooden stick thing that was blue and black stripes and it curved around both ends around a circular crystal orb that was blue and had black swirls moving through out it. "That is freaking hella awesome!" I yelled. I picked the staff of the ground then dropped it by accident but keeping the grip on it. The orb glowed and the whole kitchen turned upside down. So at the moment the floor was on the roof and the roof on the floor. "How did I do this?" I managed to escape from my breath. "Your powers are a bit unstable because you just got them. And since you have a lot more than any witch, yours will take a lot longer to stabalize." Mother said. She snapped her fingers and the kitchen turned to normal, "Alright. We must always keep this room hidden. To access it just think the word 'transformito' and do the hand motion thing like I did before. To turn it back just do the same thing." The kitchen turned back into its normal regular country kitchen style, "The only way for your powers to stabalize faster is to practice safely. Try changing your clothes and putting your staff away." And I tried just that. There was some wind and a brief moment where I felt naked. Well my staff was gone and I managed to change my shirt. But I was only wearing my boy's boxers on bottom. Luckily I thought fast and they white skinny jeans appeared with the black smokey all over them. Time to see the others and make up an excuse.
