.chapter five.

y/n woke up and came to the realization she was still on facetime, and shidou was already awake. in a panic, she hung up and let out a big breath that she didn't even realize she was holding. 

oh my god, she thought while holding her face gently in her hands. she got up, brushed her teeth, washed her face, had a shower, then chose an outfit for the day. the fit was flared leggings with a white crop top and a red varsity jacket. she put on her clothes and made her way downstairs. after eating breakfast, she called her mom and dad, who were currently in the u.s. 

after the call, she made her way to the grocery store. her sister still had to work, and her older brother was visiting from college today, so she needed to cook. 

..

at the grocery store, the first place she went to was the produce section and picked some ripe tomatoes, onions, garlic, and green onions. she saw beansprouts and thought of shidou, since he dislikes them. y/n felt bad, so she called him..

Y/N: hey im so sorry for hanging up on you this morning, please dont be mad, i didn't know what else to do

SHIDOU: its ok, i get it you're just stupid

Y/N: fuck you too

SHIDOU: gladly 

Y/N: u-um anways, do you need anything from the grocery store?

SHIDOU: get me some... um....

Y/N: hurry up

SHIDOU: oh! get me some candy please

Y/N: ok

SHIDOU: why are you at the grocery store?

Y/N: my older brothers coming back from uni today, so i wanted to do something special for him

SHIDOU: oh nice! do you need help cooking?

Y/N: if you want sure, but youre gonna have to deal with my sister, and then my brother

SHIDOU: i dont mind

Y/N: alright, come over in like 30 minutes

SHIDOU: i dont have your address, bum

Y/N: ill text it to you asshat

SHIDOU: ok byee

y/n hung up without saying bye, and went to the snack aisle to get shidou some candy. she picked up sour patch kids and her way to the register to go pay. after paying and bagging her items, making sure to put the candies separately, she went to her car. 

she bought the ingredients, but she doesn't even know what shes making. ill figure it out, she thought as she went 70 in a 45. her music was blasting, and the windows were also rolled down.

...

she got home and set the ingredients out on the kitchen counter, still trying to figure out something to make. the doorbell rang, distracting her from her deep thinking. she already knew who it was, it was shidou. 

"hey, come in", y/n said as shidou stood in awe in the doorway. he eventually walked in and sat on the barstool in the kitchen. 

"soo what are we making?", he asked with his head resting on his left hand. she shrugged her shoulders and went see what else they can use. "so u dont even know what youre making?", he asked with a concerned look on his face. 

"nope", she said while popping the 'p'. 

"OH I KNOW WHAT YOU CAN MAKE!!", he said while standing up and smacking his hands down on the counter which made a loud thud. 

"what?", she asked, genuinely interested in the words that were about to come out of his mouth..

"tomato pasta, then for sides do like garlic bread or sum", shidou said as he was on his phone trying to find a recipe. 

"WAIT YOU'RE SO RIGHT BECAUSE HE LOVES PASTA!", said y/n as she went to the pantry to get pasta out. 

"can you put water on to boil please? but make sure to put salt and olive oil in it please.", he nodded and got up to find a pot to take it to the sink. y/n cut the grape tomatoes in half, minced the garlic and the onion, and put oil in a pan before putting it on the stove next to the pot of boiling water. 

shidou came behind her and snaked his arms around her waist, getting ready to say something to fluster her even more than she already was, but then the front door opened. "hey sis, oh?", (sister's name) said with a raised eyebrow. 

"hey! sorry i barged in, i thought she might need help cooking.", shidou said in an alarmingly polite voice, one that y/n had never even heard before. 

"oh, dont worry about it, it's nice to see her with someone else besides me or (best friend's name)." she responded while waving her hands and going upstairs to change her clothes. he took this opportunity to snake his arms around her waist again, as she faced the stove. "shidou my sister is up-"

"shhh just trust me", he said, and she did as she was told. his hands went a bit lower to her hips, rubbing up and down, but stopping when he heard someone coming down the stairs. he went back to setting the table because (brother's name) was going to be home in about 30 minutes, so they wanted to be prepared. 

....

after about 20 minutes, shidou gathered his stuff to get ready to leave. "hey, im gonna go now, thanks for having me.", he said to y/n who was finishing up the pasta and garlic bread. "aw come onn, just stay to eat with us..", she said while giving him a hug because her sister was on the phone in another room. he looked down at her slightly smaller figure and decided that he would stay. "okay," the doorbell rang...

 "oh he's here!" she said and ran to open the door. 

"Hii!! I havent seen you in so long!", she exclaimed and gave her brother a bone-crushing hug. he looked up to see a boy with pink tips and the same colored eyes. 

"who is he? he better not be your boyfriend"
