.chapter seven.

(back in y/n's pov)

it's now the morning, 6:45 AM to be exact, and y/n is getting out of bed. she puts her slippers on and goes to the bathroom and turns the shower on before grabbing uniform. it consisted of khaki shorts, a white button up, and a navy blue blazer to top it off. she strips her clothes and gets into the steamy shower, letting her muscles loosen. 

after dressing in her school clothes, she goes downstairs to see her 2 (two) older siblings waiting for so they can eat breakfast together. they all conversed a bit before y/n excused herself first so she wouldnt get late for school.

when she had got to school, she saw a certain pink-haired person, who was obviously shidou, run to her. visibly startled, she steps to the side to avoid a collision. "hey", she whispered while looking down, ashamed for some reason. he was confused to say the least. 

"why do you look sad?", he asks. 

"im not sad.", she responds, then changes the topic. 

"noooo, somethings wrong, who upset you?", he ran after her as she walked away swiftly. she shook her head and avoided him. 

"its nothing, promise". the (e/c) eyed girl said while turning to him for a fraction of a second. he gave her a look, and she surrendered. 

"sure?"

"yes, i'm sure."

"okay", he said "can i walk you to class?". she nodded silently as he walked by her side. their hands occasionally brushed against each other's until y/n made the move to hold his. after that, shidou took it a step further by intertwining their fingers, they were both thinking the same thing.

walking in a comfortable silence, the two finally made it to her homeroom class. neither one of the teens wanted to let go, but they had no choice. shidou could feel the warmth of her hands slowly disappearing as she walked into the classroom with a smile. 

since his homeroom was adjacent to her, the walk didn't affect him in any way. he got into class and sat down, trying not to get attention from anyone, since he was late. thankfully, nobody had noticed him, so he went on as usual. 

at the end of homeroom, y/n waited outside of his classroom so they can walk together. she cautiously opens the door, and motions for him. "hey", they say at the same time, which startles the blonde. 

"wanna walk together?", y/n asked this time since shidou did the last. without any verbal confirmation, the two walk together and enjoy the atmosphere of each other. as they walked through the halls, other students would stare and whisper with each other since everyone thought they hated each other. the two ignored their peers and continued to walk to the other class, which was only a couple more steps away. 

before they both walked into the classroom, shidou grabs y/n's wrist and pulls her close. the bell that signals class has started has already rung, so there is nobody in the hallway. they're both getting nervous now, and pink eyed boy is losing any confidence he had. 

"i- um- it's not-", shidou tried to explain why he did it, when he doesnt even know why he did it himself. he just wanted to be close to her. 

instead of wasting any time, the other teen makes a move and gets even closer than before, their noses very close to touching. with their body warmth spreading to each other due to the close proximity, y/n's heart was about to beat out of her chest, and he could hear that. 

come on! nows your chance, you're not gonna get the balls to do this again. 

without any visible hesitation, shidou leans in for a kiss, which y/n is more than ready for. both of their eyes are shutting, and y/n's hand is moving towards his face, barely grazing it. as their lips make the slightest contact, shidous phone goes off. 

when he answers the phone, y/n finally walks into the classroom and goes to her seat and sighs out in relief when the teacher doesn't notice. then shidou walks in as well, and they make eye contact. 

fuck! you should've put your phone on dnd. 

he thought as he went to his seat and secretly took his phone out and debated texting her. he ruminated on the thought for a bit, before he realized he'll just talk to her after class, but he really didn't feel like waiting. 

i'll just wait ig

he thought again and waited it out.
