Petrified(complete)

I love you, forever and always

"Eda's in trouble" those words shook Luz and king to the core. "W-what!? What do you mean she's in trouble!?" Luz asked getting up. "I.. I was going to ask her.. And.. Darius came.. And tried to take me away but.. Eda.." Raine tries to breathe out but the weight of the situation and the fact they were out of breath kept them from doing so. "She... Took your place.. " Luz mumbled. "Y-yes! How'd you know?"   Raine asked as Luz took a small black book from one of the shelves, and handed it to Raine. "She.... She said so Herself"  Raine opened the book, it was her diary. They skimmed through it. Her thoughts of what happened the day they played the duet. And one simple line, confirmed everything they needed to know at that point.

Raine was captured... It should have been me.. If I had just kept them safe. I lost them because I tried to protect them, and now they might get hurt trying to protect me. Just one of the many reasons I still love them to this day.. But.. At least I would t be alone when Luz leaves.. I actually have a son now.. King.. My little demon overlord. If only Raine was mine as well.

More tears went down Raines face. "W-we have to go save her!" That was obvious. "Luz.. Is she going to be okay" king asked with sadness in his eyes. "S-shes going to be fine." Luz says trying to stay positive. "How do we rescue her?" Luz asked. "I.. I don't know but we need to hurry" Raine said starting to panic. Meanwhile eda.. Was being taken to the castle. She was glad Raine was okay, she could handle a few guards. But then she remembered Luz and king would come to rescue her, which didn't sound like a bad idea. Although the thought of them getting hurt, was a terrifying thought. Before she knew it she was harshly thrown I to a cell. "Ah, the owl lady.. You've escaped the emperor more times than the Titian would like, but we have you now"  eda kept a straight face, but deep down.. She was now terrified. Meanwhile Raine Luz and king were preparing to go get her. "Alright, we should be good" Luz said as she put extra glyphs in her phanny pack. "Good. now remember, in and out, we get eda and we get out" Raine reminded them.  "Yeah! Let's go get eda!" King cheered. They left the house, heading for the castle. When they arrived, Luz used a plant glyph so they could climb up a random window. When they got up, they immediately went to the dungeon, just as planned. When they got there, they heard a guard comming. They all had, and saofhe was standing in front of eda. "By order of the emperor, you are to petrified in stone" their hearts dropped. But stayed silent. Eda was dragged away, Raine could tell she was scared. When the guard left, Luz and king were close to tears. "W-what are we going to do!? We can let him petrify her!" Luz said. "I know, I know.. Were going to go get her" Raine said trying to stay calm in front in children, but inside. The thought of eda dying seemed like the worst possible thing ever.  They quickly went to the throne room and peeked through the door. Was on the floor in front on the emperor.  But there was no petrification device. "Ah, the owl lady"   "the Titan no longer wants to let you go down so easily, so I shall dispose of you myself" hearing those words.. They were all shook to the core. Luz and king sprang into action. Running in, Raine tried to reach after them, but However they missed. Luz ran in using a ice glyph to propel herself into the air and used multiple light glyphs to blind belos just for a second. Raine ran in after them, first getting eda out the chains. "R-raine! What are they doing here!?" She asked as Raine helped her up. They looked over, Luz bad belos trapped in vines, until he used his staff to destroy them. "No time! Just-" eda agin turned into her harpy form. As Luz used a fire glyph aiming at belos, king was doing what he could to dera he the aim of his staff. Eda flew up, as Raine watch momentarily mezmoried by this new form.  Eda spotted Luz was about to be hit, she was going after king. Eda flew down as fast as she could and tried to grab Luz, she succeed. But was hit in the process. Her sounds of pain, worried all but belos, eda hit the wall. Luz safe I  her arms. Raine then summoned their violin. Beginning to play, while eda slowly, but surly got up. "Stay back Luz.. " she said in a tone that made it obvious, one more hit. And she was done. "E-eda!-"   "no. Get king, and get out of the way" Abe said in a  pain filled stern voice. Luz forced herself to do as eda said. Eda then flew back in the air, seeing Raine using spells to attack. The dived down, the air resistance causing her pain.  She got a hit in to belos, almost knocking him to the floor, then she flew down picking up Raine do they could get a better angle. Raine jumped down, making a quick motion, hitting belos. "Enough of this!" Belos yelled. Again sending a blast towards eda, she just barley dodged it, so he took a different approach. Belos aimed a blast at Raine. She was luckily able to move them out the way, but landed pretty hard. "Eda! Come on get up!" She tried pushing herself up, but Instead she returned to her normal form. "E-eda! C-come on please! Get up!" Raine pleaded. Eda struggled, but she pushed herself up. Raine tried their best to help, but as eda was almost standing, belos shot another blast at Raine, eda somehow maneuvered her body to push Raine out the way, getting hit in the process. Her dreams of agony enchoing the throne room. (Agony of a witch🤣)  only then did belos disappear.  Raine processed what just happened, and saw Luz and king running to her, then doing the same. "Eda!! Eda!!" They cried, there she was. Laying on the floor almost lifeless.  Raine held her I their arms, tears streaming down theirs and her childrens faces. "E-eda.. Why'd you do that!?" They asked. "S-still cant.. Tell can you?" She said with a soft smile. Her heart rate slowing down. "W-what... " Raine mumbled. "I.. I love you, you dork" she breathed out. "Eda please.. You gotta be okay" Luz wimpered. Eda moved slightly, which visibly caused her pain. "Hey...guys look at me.." She said Luz and king reluctantly doing as she said. "I.. I think it's pretty obvious...im not.. Going to be okay.. So please.. Take care of each other" she said turning her body back to Raine, her heart beat almost none existant. "Eda.. No no.. Please... We can get you a healer" Raine said to her, voice shaking. "Nah.. " she mumbled. Putting a hand on Raines cheek, guiding them down for a kiss.  "Rainestorm.. I love you.. I love you all.. With all my heart"   "mom.. Please.. Don't go" king cried, climbing into her arms. Eda placed a kiss on the top of his head. "Raine.. Do me a favor.. Please.. Please.. Take care of my kids.. And you two.. Dont go reading their diary" she said as she let go. Her heart stopped. When they realised this the room went silent. All three of them crying. For today was the death of the infamous owl lady.

Time skip

Raine was walking through the open field, a few flowers in hand. They went towards theirs and edas hill. At the bottom was a gravestone.

"Hey eda.. It's been a year since.. Ha know" they started. "I just came.. To give you the weekly update, Luz passed her test in her potion class.. She reminds me so much of you"  a single tear fell down their cheek. "And king...fell in the dryer.. Again.. Although he asked me about you" a small smile appeares on their face. "When they ask me about you, I make sure to tell the the amazing things you did.. I told king about the time you nearly got eaten by a locker" Raine chuckled. "He loved it.. Honestly.. I can tell he misses you more everyday.. And so do I" Raine placed the flowers by the stone next to all the others. "I love you eda.. Forever and always" Raine stood up, and could almost feel her presence.  They left, heading back home. For the death of the owl lady.. Was a year ago
