Chapter 5: Resilience

Riley: ...

LEGOBRICK13: ...

Riley: ...

LEGOBRICK13: ...

Riley: ...I'm not going to like what happens in this chapter...will I?

LEGOBRICK13: ...no. No, you won't.

?(same as Chapter 2): You really won't.

Shifu: Lyla's right. I'm going to enjoy this.

LEGOBRICK13: If it's any consolation, you can handle shirkahn's thoughts.

Riley:*unenthusiastic* Hurray.

Riley: Thanks for the support months ago shirkahn. And we hope everyone liked the outtakes.

LEGOBRICK13: I had literally just thought of those about an hour or two before posting that chapter originally. Tai Lung's statement was my exact train of thought when it popped into my head.

Riley: I really wish I hadn't been on break when that happened. But anyway, we hope you enjoy the story! You're going to see some more original things in the upcoming chapters, as well as add some further depth to a few characters in particular.

LEGOBRICK13: By the way, if any of you recognize the name of his homeland, you're a real one!

Chapter 5: Resilience

Back in the Valley of Peace, the morning gong is rung in the bell tower. The second it rings, Shifu enters the hallway of the bunkhouse. The Five burst out of their rooms and stood outside their doors, ready for inspection.

"Good morning master!" The Furious Five say in unison.

However, Riley's door remains closed.

"Jackal!" Shifu calls out with no response. "Riolu, wake up!" he corrects himself as he slides open Riley's door.

But Riley's room is empty.

Shifu chuckles at the sight. "He's quit." He states with satisfaction.

Shifu walks with a bit more energy as he and the Five approach the training hall courtyard. Tigress looks equally pleased, but Viper and Monkey look confused.

"Are we certain he's quit?" Monkey asks.

"Monkey's right. He didn't seem anywhere close to giving up yesterday. Besides, what do we do now, Master? With the Riolu gone, who will be the Dragon Warrior?" Viper added.

"It doesn't matter why. All we can do is resume our training and trust that in time, the true Dragon Warrior will be revealed." Shifu answers as he is about to open the courtyard doors.

THUCK!

Shifu stops opening the door as the Five get on guard.

CRACK! THUCK! CRACK! THUCK!

The group lowers their guard in confusion as they hear the sound again, realizing it's coming from the courtyard in front of them. When they open, they are greeted with a blur of blue flashing by them towards their right, followed by something flying in the opposite direction with the previous sound following it. The group is taken aback momentarily when they finally register what's happening.
