Wings Of Fire: New Companion [1]

Prologue

(Some of the same things happened during the lost heir.)
                       Glaucus POV.

Dragon flame cactis were everywhere. Dropping, exploding, and destroying. A SeaWing flew with her green egg with a worried expression on her face.

"Where can I hide you.." the female SeaWing whispered to herself.

"Glaucus! Hide!" A SeaWing yelled to her. She had to make a decision. Its either find a hiding spot, or fly for it. Glaucus thought that she could fly for it, but it wouldn't be safe for the egg.

She took a deep breath and looked up.

"I'm going to do it."

She flew in a fast pace in the air, almost closeing eyes due to the air getting to her eyes. A SkyWing noticed her, it flew to her with there right talon out. It had a grin on it face, it got close to Glaucus reaching out to the egg. She noticed the SkyWing flying towards her.

Before it grabbed her egg, she moved her body, the SkyWing scratched her chest, leaving two long cuts on her.

Glaucus groaned in pain, looking back at the SkyWing, she shocked her head and flew at fast as she could. She looked back to see the same SkyWing after her.

Her eyes widened, then looked to the water. 'They cant swim, I need to go in the water.' She flew to the water and looked down, she dived down, covering the egg with her wings.

"I need to go to the royal hatchery, but how am I gonna get in?"

She swam to the palace and looked around. She went inside to see noone. Not a single dragon. 'They all must be up there then."

She got the to area where she needed to be. They were no guards at the entrance. And looked around to make sure noone is around.

'And no guards.' She thought to herself. She looked for a nest that doesn't have a egg resting on it. She noticed a egg that looked like her's, but she didn't really care much. She gently put her egg down on the nest.

Qlaucus started to feel tired. She laid her neck down and looked at the green egg. Her eyes closed for a couple minutes until she heard a crack. She jolted her head to see the egg hatching.

The top fell of the egg, it cracked more. It was more easier to see the hatchling. Her eyes widened. The SeaWing red on in on him. "Well aren't you a different looking one..." The hatchling looked at his mother then smiled. She smiled back and she realized a name for him.

"Oh! Well, it's not a SeaWing like name for you, but I'll name you...Bambi!" Bambi looked at Glaucus with a smile and snuggled up to her. "Glaucus!" She heard a familiar voice call her, she turned her face to three SeaWings looking at her. "Oh! My egg hatched!" The other SeaWing swam to the hatchling.

'What?' She didn't respond, and just went with it. "Did you name it? I'll go with anything!" She sighed. "I named him Bambi, I was thinking something unique for him." The SeaWing looked at Bambi and gently picked him up.

"What happened Queen Washout?" The SeaWing smiled at the young male. "My egg hatched!" Glaucus sighed and looked down at her talons. 'Maybe I should tell him when he gets younger.'
