(i.e.: basically avoid males during mating season, as they are unnervingly aggressive; females are more likely to be harmful, as they protect flock/herd/whatever you call a group of them/offspring; avoid females at all costs of offspring is present)

How to beat them: like any other horse/bird. No-brainer.
Suggested weapons: Why would you want to kill them? You monster.
How to befriend them: Good and NOT killing. Try that.
