How to recognize them: They shamble around, have almost no sight, and cannot communicate. They have a bite on some part of their body. They decay while still on their feet and drag said feet around. No facial expression evident.
How to beat them: smash the brain. Destroy it. Use quiet weapons when doing so, because loud noises attract these annoying creatures.
Suggested weapons: baseball bats, machetes, swords, chair legs, and basically anything you can easily carry around and use for blunt force truama.
How to befriend: you can't. bash that brain because it's a freaking Zombie. Why do ou even want to befriend this?
Notes: If stuck in zombie apocolypse, remember to have back-up weapons, extra food, and good common (or uncommon) sense.
