Just one touch

At home...

~Trinity's POV~

I walked up the stairs, unlocking my door, pausing for a second to zip up my red sweater and put up the hood to protect myself from what was inside...
Once I had gone in, I looked in the living room.
not in here I thought, looking around the house tensely, waiting for the sudden impact of a fist meeting my head. But it never came. I was about to call the police when I heard it, my friend screaming...

I ran upstairs to hear my dad beating on my best friend, Jennavieve. I could understand why, too. My father was a little bit drunk,and Jennavieve and I looked as if we could be twin sisters. Even sober he got us mixed up, but he's never done anything to hint at anything suspicious. He was even saying to her, "SHUT UP AND JUST DO WHAT I SAID, TRINITY! DON'T MAKE ME GET IT OUT!" I heard Jennavieve scream louder. it was now more than I could take. I opened my door and grabbed my father's hand before he could lower the belt to her body.
"SHAWN, STOP! STOP RIGHT NOW" I screamed at my father. It was the first time I had called him by his first name. As soon as I said this, he spun around, letting Jennavieve get up. "JENNA... THE PHONE... 9...1... AAAAOOOWWWWWHHHHH" I screamed in pain as my dad punched me, sending me crashing to the floor. Last thing I knew, he had grabbed a knife and was headed straight toward me. Jenna stood horrified, phone in hand, sirens getting closer, he fading in and out to me. The last thing I heard and felt was Jenna screaming out my name, and a piercing pain right in my stomach...
I knew it right away...

Shawn had stabbed me.

~Logans POV~

I had been thinking about her since the park, and thought I was going crazy. I was pulled out of my deep thought by a siren going off and an ambulance heading in the direction Trinity had walked in to get home. I picked up the pace, curious to find out where the ambulance was going, and not very keen on the idea of going home.

My parents had abandoned me last year. I'm still not sure why, but they bought me a phone, gave me some cash and a key, and dropped me off at an apartment building that I now call my home.

Anyway, I was following the ambulance, and as soon as I saw where they went, it all came to me, what I hadn't noticed, I did know Trinity's last name! The back of her sweater had said 'TRINITY ONNER, PROPERTY OF SHAWN ONNER,' in letters that seemed to be falling off. She had probably tried to pull it off, considering it was barely legible. In fact, it had actually said: 'TRINITY ONNER, P ER O S N ONNER.' I just couldn't believe it, the most beautiful, near perfect girl I've ever met being taken away in an ambulance right in front of me! I ran up and decided to try to do something even though I knew it was no use. I watched helplessly as they put her on the stretcher loaded it into the back of the ambulance. As the rescue workers got in with her, I snook in and acted just like them. They didn't even notice but I didn't mind. I'm just happy that they were concerned about her as I was.

Just then, another girl that looks just like Trinity came outside panting and running. She was crying and screaming as if she were the one to have been injured rather than Trinity. Then it hit me: What had happened to Trinity, anyway? By the looks of it, she had been fatally either stabbed or shot... but by who?!

Hmm...

It obviously wasn't the other girl, based on how desperate she was to get to Trinity, and how worried she seemed.
Her parents wouldn't have, would they?? It couldn't have been another sibling, she was supposedly the only one who lived with Shawn after his wife died...
His wife died...
Maybe it was him. If someone's spouse were to die, they would be very bitter. But to try and kill their own child?? That's insane! When she is discharged, I'll get to know her better and ask her to stay with me... after all, I'm so lonely by myself...
