Adi bought the watch Diya wanted and thought of giving it to her as an early birthday gift. It was very pretty and expensive watch packed properly with a note that said happy advance birthday.

Aditya got closer to Diya over the years though he never loved her but he certainly had some feelings for her so he never mistreated her and always tried his best to keep her happy.
After his mother Aditya distant himself from everyone. He didn't had a very good relationship with his father as well. They both rarely even talk, only two person in the Malhotra house Aditya was closed to was his older brother Aakash and his grandmother Sita devi. He loved his cousins but they were very young at that time. . . . . .
"Hey Pranav did you saw Diya anywhere?" Aditya asked his bestfriend. "She probably went towards the canteen" Pranav replied. Aditya went towards the canteen to give Diya her present she wanted. Suddenly the gift dropped from Aditya's hands, he couldn't believe what he saw. Diya was kissing another guy from there college in the hallway.
"You know that I never liked that Aditya. He is so boring" Diya said "Then why are you with him" the guy asked "Well he has money and gives me whatever I want. I was anyways going to dump him tomor........"Diya suddenly saw Aditya standing at a distance she quickly went to defensive mood trying to explain her side but Aditya was so hurt that he couldn't bare to stand there any longer.
That day he made a promise to himself " I never letting a women in my life. They end up leaving"
Aditya left for London the very next week. His whole family was confused by his sudden decision of studying and completing his degree abroad but no one could stop him. After coming back he joined his father and brother in their business. Everyone could see the change in Aditya he became confident, responsible and distant with his family. He would only talk about work 24/7. This made his family worried about his health and happiness. Since then they have been pestering him to get married and everytime anyone mentioned anything about wedding he would shush them and go back to work.

"Aakash beta aab tum he usse kuch kaho. Humari baat toh woh sunta nahi hai" Rimi said
(Aakash son now only you can talk to him. He doesn't listen to us anyways)
"Thik hai chachi mei kuch karta hu" Aakash replied and went straight towards Aditya's rooms
(Ok chachi I will do something)
"Adi are you free to talk?" Aakash asked while knocking at the door "If you also want to pester me about my marriage then NO" Aditya replied annoyingly "Atleast listen to me Adi"
"Bhai you know why I don't want to get married" "I know but Adi we all want you to be happy. Everyone knows that we both were in a bad place after maa was gone. I was older than you so I coped with grief better than you did. I even went to therapy but you isolated yourself from everyone. That's why everyone is insisting you to get married before me. Sometimes I feel that I was not a good brother, I was not there when you needed me the most" Aakash sighed as a tears fell from his eyes. Aditya immediately hugged his brother and said "Bhai don't say that you are the best brother that I could ever ask for" "Then promise me that you will think about it, ok?" Aditya nodded still hugging his brother.
