The day flew by insanely fast for the two of them, thinking about each other the majority of the day.

3:56 | Unknown: Hey Alex! It's Miles!
Alex was completely stunned by the message, forgetting that he wrote his number down for Miles. His fingers trembled as he typed out a response
3:57 | Alex: hi miles!
3:57 | Miles: Just wanted to know if I could come over in 30 minutes with my guitar
Alex's heart fluttered whilst reading the message, aggressively tapping his phone.
3:58 | Alex: of course! my parents arent home right now and im coming back from my friends house
3:58 | Miles: Got it!

Miles approached the small house that seemingly looked like nobody was home.
"Miles!" Someone called out behind him. "S-sorry, some car drove through some mud, and it got on me..." Alex cringed when he glanced at his clothes.
The taller boy stifled a laugh. "It's alright." He watched as Alex twiddled with his house keys, trying to open the door.
Finally! Alex thought.
They both sat their luggage down near the sofa and removed their shoes.
"Ah shit- I should get changed." Alex pulled at his shirt. He got up to find a change of clothes.
"Wait!" Miles interrupted. "You got something right... there..." He neared Alex, placing his hand on his cheek. Heat instantly traveled to Alex's face, he couldn't get over how close the other boy was to him. He playfully wiped off excess mud on Alex's face, a little smirk tugging at Miles' lips. Alex quickly figured out their friendship would be formed by little games of teasing. A wave of a petty, revengeful desire took over his body.
Two could play that game.
Instead of heading upstairs, Alex crossed the living room, making his way to the laundry room. He grabbed the nearest folded shirt there was and started to remove his own. Alex could easily feel Miles' stare on him, snickering to himself. In a swift motion, Alex tucked his soiled shirt in the dryer, pulling his new shirt on. When Alex turned around, he knew he'd succeeded. Miles was quick to look away, cheeks all flushed. Alex giggled with pride.
"Okay, okay, stop foolin' around..." Miles choked out.
How'd he get so comfortable with me already?
"Should'ave seen yer face!" Alex teased, lightly elbowing him. The much more prideful boy leaped onto the couch and invited Miles to sit with him. Alex was greeted with a hand ruffling his hair while unzipping his backpack.
"H-hey!" He cholted. Miles returned a snicker, letting the look linger on his face for a few seconds before grabbing supplies from his own backpack.
"Hm? Alex, what's that?" A small brown leather notebook laid on the ground, surrounded by other school supplies that seemingly spilled out of Alex's bag.
"Oh- um- nothing..." Alex is quick to snatch it, not even waiting to hesitate. The other boy just shrugs it off despite his curiosity of what's inside. The two start their project by creating lyrics together.

Want her, have her, two years have gone now
But I can't relate to the never-ending games that you play
As desire passes through, then you're open to the truth
I hope you understandAnd your love is standing next to me
Is standing next to me》》》
Alex let out a tired sigh and rubbed his eyes. "Wha' time is it, Miles?"
"Um, like... 9:43." Alex slowly nods, yawning while doing so.
...
...
Soon after, Miles feels something heavy weighing his shoulder down. He glanced over to see Alex fast asleep, resting his head on Miles. Miles' heart pumped.
"Alex... yew gotta get to yer bed..." Miles whispered.
"Mmmhh..." Alex groaned, shaking his head.
"C'mon, it's gonna get cold down 'ere."
"Fine..." Alex squinted, seeing that his head lay on Miles. A blush trickled up his neck, settling onto his cheeks. Miles grabbed Alex's hand, leading him to his room. Alex was still trying to process what had happened.
"Thanks, Miles." Alex lay curled up in a ball. He seemed to be already drifting to sleep before saying something else.
"Can yew sleep over, Miles?" Alex's voice had some rasp. Miles let out a small 'mhm' before sitting on the bed.
"Yew should sleep too, y'know?" Alex giggled.
Miles also laughed, ruffling Alex's hair up. He got up with intentions of sleeping on the couch, but Alex prevents him from doing so by grasping his arm.
"No... stay here..." Alex whined. Miles blushed as he made his way back to the bed, uneasily lying next to his lover. Alex slowly cuddled up to Miles, who was already looking like a tomato. The older's head rest on the younger's upper arm.
"Night, Miles..." This time, Alex fully drifted off to sleep.
"Night, Alex." Miles said, starting to mumble something else. "Love you."
