Annabeth POV
Percy just came back from the doctors. He came up to me with tears in his eyes. Percy never really cried so this was serious.
Piper and Leo were with me. And Jason. " Percy what's wrong" Jason asked concerned. Percy opened his hand and we all gasped.
A lock of raven hair. " Oh Percy..." I started. He rested hi head on my shoulder and cried. I could feel my shoulder getting wet, but I didn't care. Percy seemed so carefree about this.
He started to sob harder. I whispered "Lets go to your cabin". He followed me until we were in. Then he sobbed again. Heart wrenching sobs. People would say "Oh it's no big deal" then when it happens BAM.
But Percy knew. He looked up to me and asked "Now I'm special" with a small sheepish smile. " You can't get any more special to me"
