it was midnight and lauren was still up. her mind was everywhere tonight. she hated being back at school. the only thing she could think of doing is calling troy. that's exactly what she did.
"hi lauren" troy said with a raspy voice, immediately picking up the phone. he had a genuine smile on his face.
"hi troy, i can't sleep" lauren said with a smile, because well. it was troy. lauren always had a little thing for troy, nothing big of course cause they are friends but it was still there, same way with troy. recently tho the two had been talking more one on one and lauren loved it.
"oh ok well i'm watching a movie right now, u could come over, it's titanic" troy offered with a smile that lauren loved.
lauren used to love titanic because who wouldn't? but titanic was the last movie she watched with her grandpa the night he passed and she never feel comfortable watching it with anyone else because she doesn't want to take away the meaning of it towards her yet.
"i'm not in the mood for a movie but we could like cook something?" lauren offered. troy immediately agreed and practically ran over to her house in his grinch pjs.

troy came over and they made a cake which came out basically inedible. but they were a mess after throwing flower at each other. they decided to go shower upstairs. lauren went first.
she walked into the bathroom with her speaker, phone, and towels after leaving troy all alone in her room. she immediately started blasting taylor swift and jumped in the shower.
"DANCING IN YOUR LEVIS DRUNK UNDER THE STREET LIGHT I" she screamed lyrics of cardigan as troy began singing with her.
"TRIED TO CHANGE THE ENDING PETER LOSING WENDY I" they scream in unison. troy was the only boy who would ever listen to taylor with her, she loved that.
to lauren troy was a boy she could be her self around. she never felt judged when she cried to him about her life, troy loved lauren as well. he loved making her laugh when she cried. he loved being the one lauren trusted.
lauren got dressed and brushed out her wet hair. she opened her bathroom door and was about to walk out when she saw troy was gone.
did he really do home without saying bye?
