Days passed slowly after that first morning, and before long a month had passed, every day was torture thanks to the bullies of the Slytherin house, Luckily phantom was there every day providing Maria with the necessary mental stability she needed to wake up every day with a smile, her hand gently rubbed the top of Phantom's head which helped her heart feel lighter but she couldn't help but say quietly to her feline friend while looking at the new bruises on her arms and legs "The worst part about waking up is waking up remembering why you wish you didn't..." she naps out of the dark thought because of Phantoms rough but loving tongue giving her pointer finger a lick that gives Maria a small boost to help her get ready for the day but that mood wouldn't last long. As she left her Dorm room to enter the common room, there Draco was sitting waiting for her, as she entered the room Crabb and Goyle were waiting by the door they grabbed her by her thin arms and shoved her to the floor before screaming at her "Good Morning MudBlood, Sleep well?" one of them said, it was hard for maria to tell which one of them said it as to her they were both so similar in look and voice, after refusing to entertain the two boys they pick her back up by her bending arms, after returning her to her feet the bullies push her into the stone common room wall, as maria winced in the pain now radiating from her aching back Malfoy approached her " You know you don't belong here MudBlood, You shouldn't have come back again this year didn't you learn enough in the last 2 years?" he said with a cold venom that far outweighs his age. In a snarky tone he continues "I've already spoken to my father about how far this place has fallen to allow something like you into it!" he turns to his friends and away from her as he continues "He says with his authority all he needs is a single excuse to get rid of you for good!" Slowly Draco turned his head back to her with a smug smirk and a harsh look in his gray eyes "You may think you're special but you're nothing more than a Useless failure of a MudBlood You'll never be one of us!" with that he and his posse casually as if giving friendly advice leave the common room abandoning her to her thoughts.

As she stood there back against a wall head facing down she couldn't even bring herself to cry, this happens every single day after all. She looked down at her wrists, both were red and starting to bruise the pain radiating from them far worse than her back 'at least they're not broken' she thought to herself. After a second time spent picking herself up and cleaning her robe, she began walking today was the first day of Divination class and that was exciting for Maria, not that she would need magic to tell her future at the moment. As she began walking to her new classroom it seemed like the school was playing a cruel prank on her, as she passed by smiling and happy students, groups of friends, and just about everything she wished she had at the exact moment.

As she Arrived at the corridors of the Divinations class, she kept herself small and her eyes off of the others around her while rubbing her wrists but was caught off guard watching Harry go into the classroom with his friends her eyes lingering on the door even after they had already passed into the class, she was already shaking from the encounter with Malfoy in the common room but her body started to shake some more, 'why is he so happy?' she found herself thinking, the sudden realization of her intense jealousy of her former friend making her feel so horrible with herself she wanted to curl up into a ball alone in a forgotten corner. Instead, Maria found herself walking into the class, instead of following her normal routine of sitting in the back of the class she found herself walking right up to him, only barely stopping herself from sitting right next to Harry quickly finding an open chair behind him and quickly sitting.
