I was tossing and turning in my bed late at night, desperately trying to fall asleep. The past couple nights, since moving into the Davenport household, the odd dreams I've been experiencing the past years, have become more frequent.

The dream is always the same, there's rarely any change in it.

Each time I'm looking down at 5 young children. Three boys, two girls. I don't know who they are, but I feel like I know them.

The two girls appear to be around the age of 5, one of the boys look like he's 6, another looks like he might be 4. The third boy is an infant, he's very small. The four older kids have various shades of brown hair, while the infant seem to have dirty blonde hair. It's close to brown but you can tell there's some blonde in there.

The thing that sticks out to me the most is that one of the girls look a bit like me, she has curly brown hair, pale, with light freckles.

I'm wondering if maybe these kids are all people I lived in a foster home with, back when I was waiting to be adopted. Hopefully some day I find out. I could even ask my mom about it.

Finally after laying there in my bed trying to go to sleep, I finally felt my eyelids getting heavy, and feeling my mind go quiet before falling into the darkness that is sleep.

"Ok, guys. You have been training for all types of missions. But you are about to enter a soul-bruising, confidence-crushing, apocalyptic environment: high school." Davenport tells the trio. "As much as I'd love to say it isn't as bad as it sounds, it is that bad. Especially because of our principal." I added.

"Adam, Bree, your glitch test results are fairly stable." Davenport informs them. "Yes! I'm going to school!" Bree cheers. "I'm fairly stable!" Adam says. "Same, Adam. Same." I joked.

"But, Chase, I'm still concerned about your commando app." Mr. Davenport tells Chase. "Commando app? Put on some underpants. We're going to school." Leo says with a weird look. "Really, Leo?" I ask, with my brows raised.

"No, see, in the face of an imminent threat, Chase's commando app kicks in and he turns into a fearless brute I like to call Spike. It's kinda like a fight-or-flight thing, except I took out the flight part, 'cause, useless. And I replaced it with a testosterone level of like a Tasmanian devil-wolverine-shark-lion hybrid that's mad." Davenport explains while making weird hand gestures.

"Don't worry, Mr. Davenport. I promise that Spike won't rear his ugly head." Chase assured him. "You know you just insulted yourself, right?" I asked, turning to Chase. He just gave me a look as Davenport spoke up.

"Oh, yeah? You mean like last christmas when I made the mistake of giving Adam boxing gloves?" He asked. "Ugh. I'm still coughing up tinsel." Adam shuddered. "I'm gonna be real here, I kinda wanna fight Spike. It sounds fun." I admitted. "Spike took down Adam last time. I don't think you would be able to beat him in a fight." Bree says.

"Worth a shot." I shrugged. "You know, letting Chase go to school, isn't such a good idea. I can't risk Spike coming out." Davenport sighed. "Oh, come on, Big D. Chase has to come. With these guys, I'll finally get a prime spot in the cafeteria." Leo whined. "That's right y'all. Put on your coats 'cause I'm about to ride your tail!" Leo exclaimed, while pretending to be riding a horse.

"Look, don't worry. We'll make sure he stays out of trouble, right guys?" Adam says. "Yeah. It's all for one, and one for all." Bree smiles. Then her facial expression changed as she continued, "Unless, of course, if you guys make me look bad, in which case, I am dropping you lame-os." She finished.

"Man, I should have done that to Leo ages ago." I say. "Hey!" Leo replied. "Kidding. I'm kidding." I assured him with my hands up in surrender. "Mr. Davenport, I can't miss school. I mean the road to astronaut lawyer has to start somewhere." Chase says in an attempt to convince his dad.
