Bonus 2

A few months before the epilogue

The gardens of Casterly Rock were quiet and empty. The twins were having a nap and their mother was watching over them. Alannys walked alone along the alleys of the gardens. She had always found them soothing and she needed just that as she just argued with Aemond, again. The lady loved him, she knew that but she didn't realise that being married implied a lot more than just love. The prince and her were learning to live together and sometimes it was not easy.

The princess walked for a long moment before reaching a special place. She kneeled under the tree. It was not just any tree, it was Luke's tree. After the war, Alannys did not really have any place to mourn her little brother so she chose this tree where she hanged a bit of his cape. That way, she felt connected to him.

"Hello my little warrior. I miss you so much, Luke. I should have protected you better because that is what older sisters do. Losing you will always be my biggest mistake and remorse. Jace and our Queen say that I will learn how to grieve but I think I will never stop hurting. Times are tough. I try my best. I would love for you to send me a sign. I promise I will be back soon."

Suddenly, she felt bile rise in her throat and she vomited near the tree. Alannys realised she needed to see the maester as she had been sick for a few days. She hurried down the halls of the castle when she encountered her husband.

"Alannys, I..."

"Sorry but I need to see a maester" interrupted his wife.

"Are you unwell ? I will come with you."

On the way, they discussed trying to settle the matter of their argument. Soon they reached the maester's office. Aemond tried to conceal it but he was worried. Even if their situation was still uneasy, he loved Alannys and was worried of losing her. The maester examined the lady of the castle and asked her a couple of questions.

"So, can you tell us what it is ?" asked Aemond, growing impatient.

"Well, congratulations my prince and princess, you are pregnant."

Alannys' hand instantly flew on her stomach. This was her sign, Luke's sign.

"Is that true ?" she wondered.

"Yes. Of maybe two moons, princess."

Aemodn was struck. He only moved when his wife kissed him, to kiss her back. They were going to have a child. Suddenly, all of their problems seemed to be of less importance. They were having a baby.
