Akane died in her previous life and the cause of her death was schizophrenia which pushed her to commit suicide But unexpectedly there was a mysterious god or whatever came after Akane and brought her back to life but in the world of one punch man. But in this arc, Akane is still fully human and has not yet become a demon here So she doesn't have any power or anything she just depends on heroes like Saitama.

when Sonic and Akane met again, sonic wanted to know who Akane was and he said that "they had known each other before" And when their paths crossed again, he wanted to ask her name and find out who she was.
