Tear Of Darkness

I have known you a long time,

Since high school, I have fallen for you

My adrenaline was high like being on a sugar rush

That is how much I wanted to love you.

For years, you have been abused

You don't deserve this,

I'd given you more love

Treating you right, like a husband loving his wife.

I will give up anything for your happiness.

Over the years you have treated me poorly.

I understand, you wanted me to feel the pain

Like a partner in crime facing the same path

I understood, but you not need to do that.

You went with other men, over the years you promised

That was heartbreaking, but this isn't the first time

You struck me down, piercing my heart with the Excalibur

How dare you? You're killing me for a heart that is yours?

Months went by, I have given the silent treatment,

Like the dark clouds filling the sky

All there was, was the tears of darkness

What you did to me, is all sadness.

I have loved you for nothing,

This is how I see, I left you in your place.

While I carry the tears of darkness to my coffin

You can stay with the person you desire; I'm not yours

Most of my life was filled with darkness,

You just had to add more fuel to it.
