So Invasive

Even though I was so happy Bill came to see me, I couldn't help but be upset at Adeline. How could she betray me like that and text first. Knowing she only did it for Gustav.

I decided to call her because I just wanted to let her have a piece of my mind.

*ring**ring*

"hi, y/n," Addy says first thing. "You're calling early."

"Why did you text Bill?" I immediately asked, wasting no time.

"Well you know," she says a bit nervous. "I know you missed him."

"And this has nothing to do with you wanting to see Gustav?"

"Of course not! Wait how do you know I texted him."

"Well someone showed up at my house this morning. With plushies in hand."

"No way Bill did that?!?! Was Gustav there."

"That's your first thought..."

I took a big sigh just being upset.

"So you did text him, just to meet with Gustav again?" I ask.

"Okay fine," she tells me. "I did want to see Gustave again. BUT, I did know you missed Bill."

"Come on. You didn't have to go behind my back for that."

"Technically, I did nothing wrong. I was simply getting things moving, someone had to do it."

"Expect you did do something wrong, told my feelings I wasn't ready to tell. Lie to me about what you did on my phone and weren't going to tell me."

"Come on you're blowing things out of proportion."

"I'm not doing anything. I just want you to see where I'm coming from."

Arguing with Addy is like arguing with a wall. Which why I hate to do it. I love her but she is so dense sometimes it's frustrating.

"There is nothing to see," she tells me. "I was just doing us a favor."

"US?!?!" I raise my voice. "You're just using my crush on Bill as an excuse to get closer to Gustav. You definitely would've texted him even if I didn't like him."

"See but, you do like him," Addy proclaims. "So it works out in the end."

Honestly I wasn't even mad at her in the beginning, I just wanted her to come clean. But the way she's acting right now is really pushing some buttons.

"Are you not sorry?" I ask. "Trying to get you to see my side is so frustrating."

"Sorry for what?" She asks in reply.

"My god," I say. "You can never once understand how I feel in this situation. I just want to know my best-friend will stand by own feelings before some dudes."

She goes silent, like she had to think. I didn't want to have a shouting match with her. It's to early and I simply don't have the breath.

Taking a long pause I decide the best course of action is to simply hang up

I'm so upset at her. Does she really think that it's all okay? Just when I thought things would turn out better. Did I just loose my best friend over something a little bit petty.

What a joke?

Thinking about what happened just got me even more worked up, so I just decided I should go to bed.
