Missed You

I haven't spoken to Addy in like a solid 4 days. When I see her at school I just turn the other direction and pretend she's not there. Even in the classes we have together, I pretend not to notice her.

Today at lunch it was unavoidable. I was picking up my tray and turned around she was right there.

"I know you've been ignoring me, but I really want to talk," Addy says. "Will you give me the time of day? I even got you something."

She reaches into her bag pulling out a tuxedo sam plush.

"Okay, fine," I reply back, grabbing the plush.

I followed her to go and sit down.

"I'm sorry," she tells me grabbing my hand. "I was wrong to text Bill, I know. I was wrong to brush you off. I was wrong to sit there and pretend to choose a guy over you. I'm sorry. Literally not being able to text you this whole time opened my eyes. I was being inconsiderate. Please forgive me."

She was rambling so much, I could barely get a word in. I could tell she was sincere, which was heart warming.

"You know I missed you too," I smile at her. "I don't know how much longer I could've gone without you. I just didn't want to be around someone who is choosing their crush over their best friend."

"I get it," she tells me. "Sorry it took me so long to understand. I thought you were mad about me texting Bill, but it was really how I handled everything."

"Exactly!" raising my voice. "I don't care about you texting Bill if it was out of the best interest for me."

"Well, I'm so happy we're back talking again. Update me on your life."

I tell her how after we got in that fight Bill messaged me. How we talked for hours on end and watched a movie.

"Oh and you know, he may or may not have invited me to there next concert to cheer me up," I say trying to play it off.

"Shut up, omg!" Addy says excitedly. "That's so great. Do you know if there is room for one more."

She looked at me with hinting brows. We may have just made up, but I'd love for her to come.

"You know I'll ask," I tell her.

She claps her hand in excitement.

Didn't know so much could happen over 4 days. I spent the rest of lunch chatting with Addy
