In the process of roaming around, seemingly to try and catch sight of a woman in a floral and modest dress, I bumped into someone again.

Figuratively though. Thank fuck.

After mentally patting myself on the shoulder for not being an idiot and zoning out again, I face the someone who I least expected to be here. Actually, that's a lie. Who am I kidding? Of course he's gonna be here.

"Rin-nii? What are you doing here?" I ask, as if I hadn't noticed the black, tight-fitted, long sleeved nike shirt, and the matching black shorts that he was wearing; his running shoes to complete the look. The sweat that bathed him being another key indicator as to what he had been doing prior to this moment; it also giving me an idea of how long he had been jogging.

It seemed to me like he caught up to my conclusion, leading to him ignoring my inquiry. Instead, he shot back with another one,

"What are you doing here?" He parroted.

I pay no mind to the skipping and redirection of the question, deciding to answer it rather than pushing on. "I was here to accompany mom, but she had a little chitchat with an old friend so I decided to leave them be." I shrug.

Seeing how he intently listened to me, I continued, "Speaking of that, wanna come with us? We're going home anyway."

He lets out an exhale to what I assume is for easing the fatigue I could imagine he was feeling. After doing so, he proceeds to merely nod his head as a response to my question.

With the action of agreement, I crack a small smile before approaching him. Unconsciously, I grasp the space in between his forearm and bicep, successfully arm linking with him.

I blame both him and Sae-nii for this habit of mine. Ever since we were kids, they-mostly Sae- would hold onto my hand everytime we were in crowded places, in fear that I'd get lost. I don't know what happened, but I probably didn't realize how that simple act would give me an unbreakable habit; even if I'm old enough to be left alone now.

Rin-nii simply dismissed my action, having already been used to it at this point. As we continue our walk-which was filled with comfortable silence despite the ongoing chatter all around us- Rin-nii speaks out evidently out of the blue,

"Who were those people you were talking to?"

Taking my attention away from the flock of pigeons I was mindlessly staring at, I turn to face him, having to look up due to our height difference. His focus was directed ahead of us, teal eyes never leaving the front.

"Huh?" Although despite the confusion laced in my voice, I quickly respond before he could repeat what he previously asked, "Oh. Just some girl I accidentally bumped into and her friends." I turn my attention back to mindlessly staring at our surroundings again.

At this point, I still can't believe I'm related to my brothers. 'Cause my brain seems to work slower than theirs. 'They probably took all the good Itoshi genes.' I bitterly thought.

I hear Rin-nii hum in acknowledgment of my answer before he speaks out again, "Stop zoning out."

Yeah. That too.

Other than a slow working brain, I have to deal with zoning out.

Man this sucks ass.

From the corner of his eye, he sees the girl-who was holding onto him- display a posture in a sulking manner. Sighing, he brings his hand up, causing her to let go and look at him quizzically.

"Wha-"

He cuts her off by ruffling her hair.

Once the situation clicked, she exclaimed, "Hey! Stop!" Annoyance could be shown and heard all over her visage and voice. Yanking his hand away, she continues, "What's up with you?!"

With furrowed eyebrows, he snaps back, "Stop sulking. You're scaring everyone with that face."

Upon hearing his statement, she merely rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah." the girl huffs out, her arms now formed into a cross as a visible pout could be seen on her face.

"That too." He points out.

When seeing how she wasn't responding, he goes to wrap an arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him to move her out of the way for people to walk through.

"Let's go find mom now." He mumbles out.

A look of realization could be seen on her features as she gives him a reply, "Oh, yeah-"

"There you are! I've been looking all around the place for you!"

The siblings hear the familiar voice of their mom-a harsh one at that, the kind of voice she only uses when she was scolding them- When hearing the tone of voice she was using, the both of them look behind only to catch sight of a fuming woman.
