Everything the paw touched turned ash, the bush was set aflame. The creature steeped through the bushes.

It was covered in inky black fur, it's eyes glowed like the center of a volcano. The saliva that foamed at its mouth was a dark red, almost like dried blood. His mouth had giant teeth that seemed to big for his mouth, and had red stains on them. He radiated heat, and I could tell he would burn anything he touched, what a curse to have. It was almost as tall as I was in my normal form.
He walked up to me, slowly. I could tell he was only a baby, despite how tall he was. Hellhounds were the largest of all canine creatures. They also had the ability to come down to the size of a large wolf. They could spit lava and breathe fire, as well as have fire touch.
"Come here little one," I said, in a soothing tone. "I wouldn't hurt you. You're way to spectacular to hurt." He slowly made his way over to me, each step hesitant. He stopped a few feet from me.
"I don't want to burn you, or your beautiful feathers," A low rumble echoed in my mind, it was like a volcano coming back to life.
"You wouldn't burn me, but you can stay back if you want to. I'm fireproof, so there's no reason to worry," I whispered over to him. I held out my hand for him. He came over to me and carefully touched my hand with his nose. My hand grew warm against his touch, when the heat suddenly vanished. He had drew back to see if he had burn me in any way. "See I'm fine," I kept my hand up for him to see.
"I'm Zravas, can you take me from here? It's so .... unfeeling," The deep rumble that was Zravas, whispered.
"That's why I'm here. To take you from here, you are my familiar, after all. I'm Loki," I said, there were only a few people who could trigger this much positive emotion, I guess my familiar is. He cuddled up to me in response.
"Loki!" A gasp echoed down the stones behind me. I guess it must be very surprising to see your son being cuddled by a giant Hellhound.
A growl reverberated through me as Zravas bristled at the sudden appearance of a new creature. "Who is this person? Are they going to take you away?" A protective rumbled echoed through my head.
"No, that's my Dad. He's a friend." I reassured the flame canine, mind to mind. Ha dad looks so scared right now, just wait till Uncle Sev sees Zravas. Zravas calmed down, and sat right at my side.
"Loki, who is this?" my dad said, I could still see a hint of fear in his eyes, even with my familiar calmed.
"Dad I would like you to meet Zravas, my familiar. Say hi Zravas," The last part was telepathic. Said flame canine let out a rumble of hello as my dad mumbled a hello. "Great, now that we know each other, can we go home."
We left the dark place of silence to my home, a place of life, that would need some renovations for our new member.

Ahhh!!! a yell echoed, as soon as Uncle Sev saw Zravas, I started laughing. "What in Lady Magic is that doing here?" he screamed.
"Calm down," I said authoritatively. "We are all friends here, Uncle Sev this is my familiar, Zravas. And this is my Uncle. A friend." I got nodes from both of them and sighed in relief.
"We need to start fireproofing the whole house," Dad said summoning some house elves to get everything in order.
"Come Zravas, I'll show you the yard," I mentally said to my familiar.
"Lets go!" Was the excited rumble I got in return.
We both ran out the door, as I did I changed into my hybrid form. We played all across the lawn, and covered it in scorch marks. As the sun was dipping below the horizon we stayed out and watched the stars, me cuddling up to Zravas for the warmth that he radiated.

Instead of riding a train, like the Hogwarts students, or so I was told. We were teleported out by our letters, that were portkeys. Zravas and I were landed in a huge entrance room. It was built of black stone, each wall was covered in different depictions, mostly constellations or creatures. Surrounding us were around 100 other students and around half had familiars.
"Attention students!" An authoritative voice called. I turned to find tall fully transformed kitsune female, she had emerald green eyes, and black and gold tails and ears. She had a chaotic nature about her. "There will be no human forms or half human forms here, unless necessary, so please turn into your forms," All around us was the cracking of bones and tearing of flesh as all the kids around me transformed, fully. In my full form I floated above the ground without flapping my wings. "I am right hand to the Headmaster, I am Rei Hoshi. Most of the time you will not be using your wands. Why? We will hone your creature abilities, then your wand work. Now before we begin you will be sorted into one of 5 different houses that represent the way you act and think. They are Centauric, the confident and friendly, Lupushowl, the emotive and shy, Gorgonis, the smart and chaotic, Quetzalal, the knowledgeable and calm, Wyvernpaw, the rebellious and cunning. Each house has its own unique rules, bonds and place around the castle. Before you can settle and eat you will be grouped into your house. Now, follow me," The kitsune turned and entered opened the door to the hall, with the students trailing after her.
The hall was one of the most spectacular things I had ever seen. There was a huge ceiling that stretched into nothingness, the walls were set to look like the night sky, with all its constellations, There were eleven tables, five of the tables were on the ground, each one had a different colour set. Each one had a large variety of different creatures. Another set of five tables floated in the air, these tables reflected the ones down below, except they were filled with air creatures. The last table was at the far end, it had all our teachers, and at the very middle of it was the Headmaster. He was a Sphinx, he had a golden lion body with sun yellow wings, he had deep brown eyes that sparkled with knowledge. His hair was as black as night and stretched into a mane, he was covered in ornate clothing and jewels of red, green and yellow.
His tail flicked as he stood. "Welcome my little creatures, you are all welcome here!" His voice was loud, clear and rough. "I'm Noritis. I am so happy that you could join us, now before we go any further. Lets get you grouped. Bring them out!" He yelled.
A man that appeared to be a bat-vampire appeared from behind a doorway, he had white skin and blood red eyes. His hair was bright gold, that went down to his waist in a light braid. Instead of arms he had long membrained wings that had veins of gold running through them. Trailing along behind him on plush pillows, were five objects. An average table appeared at the front and each object was placed on the table.
"Now please, creatures, come and place your hand on each object. The one that speaks to you will represent the house you are in." The Headmaster spoke. "The bravest of you come up here, make sure you say your name loud and clear." He gestured to the table in front.
Not even a few seconds later someone stepped forwards.
