Self improvement is masturbation,
Now self destruction...Wednesday and the elder wolf watched as Y/N walked up to them, he seemed distracted. He didn't often show feelings through facial expressions, nearly always wearing a blank face; but whenever something really perplexed him, he'd grow a little colder. His head tilted slightly downwards, his eyes darker and a drum of his fingers against the air. The wolf looked up, noticing the pair near the entrance of the garage. He walked up to his father and stopped next to him, gazing upon the motorcycle his father had for as long as he could remember.
"How's she doing?" Y/N asked the elder. Jon hummed. "Hasn't seen much use lately. Could use some work done." Jon looked at him expectantly. Between the two wolves, it was obvious this wasn't just about spending some quality father-son time. No, now that Y/N had dipped his toes into a new world, he would need to convene with his father a lot more. And as much as Jon pushed for Y/N to stick to his education, he knew it too. Wednesday was oblivious to this agreement the two had come to off a simple glance, yet she felt a strong bond. They were often silent, but they held the same mannerisms. Maybe she vied for a relationship such as this with her own family. Although, Y/N didn't think it was much to seek.
The two wolves nodded before Y/N spoke up. "Later. I have to drop Wednesday off at Nevermore." He spoke simply, giving one last hug to his father before the two teens walked over to the car they drove in, setting off once more.

"There wasn't any press or paparazzi at the manor." Wednesday noticed. Y/N hummed, fixing the rear view mirror. "That is because it's illegal." He said blankly. "Ha." Wednesday responded, boring holes into the side of his head. "Most are too afraid of the property. It was built upon sacred land, odd things occur to those who intrude." The wolf informed her. She still felt curious, some things eluded her. "Around town you don't get bombarded either." The goth added. "I don't make it a habit to create a spectacle of myself."
Wednesday thought on the fight in the Weathervane and begged to differ but didn't voice it.
Soon they arrived at the Gates to Nevermore and Wednesday made to open the car door. She noticed Y/N didn't do the same and looked back at him. "Are you not coming?" She asked the wolf. He grunted and shook his head. "No." He said bluntly. Wednesday stared at him for a while longer before realizing he wasn't budging, and made her way out of his car. She watched him drive off, the day was still young and she wondered what he would get into.
Unbeknownst to the goth, Y/N too, was thinking of her. Wondering why he was so conversational with her, perhaps he was just glad to have someone to talk to that wasn't so conceded or shallow; though he could pick that apart from her as well. In his mind, no one was truly worth being invested in, not just romantically, but emotionally. There was no point to understanding the character of someone, they were far beneath his worth. Yet his nature with Wednesday went completely against this belief, they could not coexist. He had thought on it some, but he ultimately never made his mind up. It simply was, and he would continue to stick to his belief of superiority.

The wolf stopped in town for gas when he first sensed it. It was hard to describe, as it was an influx of emotions and scents. Nicotine wafted from afar, a faint scent of booze that quickly increased tenfold has he focused more. He felt vigor, wrath, perhaps a bit of anxiety - but more like thrill. He gripped the roof of his car as his senses went haywire, causing him to let go and turn in all different directions; trying to find the source of all this emotion. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, it was a perfectly calm, crisp Fall afternoon. He thought he was losing his mind before something drew his gaze to a bar, well it looked more like a pub or rather a tavern. It wasn't too odd considering the aesthetic of Jericho but he felt a lurch when he focused on it. This was it. This was the source.
