As the tiny children slid down his arm like a slide, cliff couldn't help but watch the children with his soft green eyes. "You kids be careful I don't want anyone getting hurt" the massive man whispers as some of the children are sitting on his shoulder braiding his facial hair.
"We will Mr!" One of the children looked up at him with a smile on her face as she slid down his arm, laughing all the way down.
Hearing the children laughing warmed the giants heart, but among the laughing a soft whimper caught the massive man's attention. Looking around to see where the whimpering is coming from Cliff's eyes landed on a tiny child peeking at him from behind a tree.
"Hey can you guys get off a second and...go to my wife? I need to stretch my legs quickly" the massive man said as he carefully moved some of the children by his wife, while the rest of the slowly made their way over to her.
"Awww but we wanna play!" A young boy looked up at him with his arms crossed his chest.
Seeing the young boy pouting he couldn't help but chuckle "I'll be back buddy I promise" Cliff looked down at him as he slowly made his way over to the tiny child who's currently hiding.
Slowly walking over to the tree Cliff ever so carefully laid down beside it "hey sweetheart....why are you over here all by yourself?"
"I....I'm shy....and...scared" the little girl looked up at him with her bright blue eyes.
"It's okay to be scared....it's totally normal honey" Cliff laid his head down on his arm, trying to make himself smaller for her sake. Watching the tiny child twirl her dress side to side Cliff's heart melted as the memories flooded back of his baby sister. Hearing her faint voice Cliff snapped back into reality "huh...what's that honey?" Cliff asked.
"You...promise you won't hurt me? I heard stories about giants...like in my book Jack in the beanstalk" the young girl slowly walked over and carefully placed her hand on the tip of his nose.
"I promise...you're safe....and nothing will ever happen to you while I'm around" cliff cooed as he carefully scooped the tiny child up into his hands.
"You and I just the same....I'm just bigger"
"How...did you get so big?" The young child tilted her head to the side
"Lots of Fruits and vegetables"
