I get up from the couch, fiddling with my laptop and console as Sera prepares to do her part.
I have only heard her sing while in a drunken haze on Guitar Hero, or was it Rock Band? I don't remember.
Kali: Go Sera! You got this sweetie!
Sera: Thanks!
She heads into the booth; I load up the sample I was working on for More.
It isn't much, but I could just set it on repeat.
I actually finish it right this second, making a couple last minute tweaks.
Ahri: You haven't even started?
Y/N: No... I just didn't finish.
Eve: I could help yo-
Ahri lightly bonks her with her tail.
Ahri: No horny! It be song time! Girls, do you guys have your parts?
Kali: Mine is done but it's a little rough.
Eve: Mine is good, ready when you are honey.
Kai: Same...
Sera: Ready?!
Y/N: Let me know how this sounds babe.
I start the sample, the beats are good, not too heavy, they'll pick up.
Sera: Oooo... I like that...
Sera begins singing, and it sounds amazing.
This is good, but what if... I was to make a different sample for every girl, then splice them together, yet still keeping the same beat?
That would be fucking sick, I know Ahri would love that shit too.
This is going to be More, so why not have... More?
Sera's voice comes through fine, we're good.
The Chinese is a little bit of a throw off, looks like that's another language I'll have to pick up on along with Korean.
Sera finishes her part, beautiful, it's not exactly what I planned, but it works anyway.
I wish everything just clicked together like that...
Ahri: Girl! That was amazing!
Sera: *Pant pant* Alright, coming inside now.
Sera takes the headphones off, leaving them in the booth, ready for any other girl to take the spot.
Y/N: So, Sera's part was good, but I got an idea...
Kali: Oh?
Ahri: I love ideas, what is it?
Her tails start wagging, I love it every time she does that.
Y/N: What if... we make a separate sample for every individual girl, don't worry about blending the sounds together, leave that to me.
Eve: How long would it take?
Ahri: What she said.
Y/N: Well here...
I open up the mixing app, showing the innards of the sample I made.
Y/N: I take out this part... and this...
I play it and it's just the beat.
Kali and Sera: Woah...
Y/N: I figure we keep this interval, but then we can add different samples to it, work my magic a little, you know? Eve, I figure I could fade out something for you, to sort of... break it up?
