Meet Up

It was the day, the day I go to Dans house. I'm so excited. I'm going to have to tell my brother that I'm going to Alyah's, hopefully he'll not offer to walk me to her house, Im not seven.

I sent him a text saying, "what time do you want me there at?" I waited impatiently. Started to pluck my eyebrows, do my makeup and get dressed and still hadn't got a text back. I didn't want to send two texts in a row so I waited and finally got a reply, "hi, sorry I was in the shower you can come at anytime from now xxx," he said. So I went downstairs, lifted my bag and went out the door.

I started to walk and then realised there's a bus that takes me near his street. I waited at the bus depo and finally a bus came. I got on and sat near the front and guess who was at the back of the bus, my brother. I had to take it that he was going to Dans as well. I let him get off before me. We walked through alleyways and down little cobble streets. He knocked Dans door whilst I hid outside in a shrub. He was back out again in a flash, he had a CD in his hand. Once I made sure he had defiantly gone I knocked the door, Dan opened the door quickly. "Hey your here, come in," he said. Me and Dan are both socially awkward but it makes it easier to talk to him knowing that we both feel that way.

"So why'd you want me to come to your?" I asked. He said, "I wanted to do a collab with you called interviewing my bestfriends sister, do you mind?" I paused. Does he really only want me here to do a collab? No it can't be just that he sent me kisses. "Yeah sure I'd love to but Steven would know I was here," I said. "No and if he does why should he care it's just an interview nothing else," he said. That's what I was dreading to hear. Just friends? Are we even friends?

We move into his room to start the video. He asks, "who is your celebrity crush?" What am I meant to say, I can't say him. "Alex Turner," I say, "I like men who wear mostly black clothing." He looks at me. "Have you noticed that we are both in basically all black?" He says. "Oh my gosh your right!" I say, even though I planned it.

We went into his front room when we had finished filming. He sat beside me. I looked him in the eye and said, "did you really invite me over just to make a video?" He looked uncomfortable. Then I knew he wanted me here for a certain reason. "Lexi look, I like you like I really like you and I invited you here to find out if you liked me," he said. I screamed inside. "I do, you are my celebrity crush but think how awkward it would be to try keep it secret from Steven," I said. He looked me in the eye and leaned in. He kissed me. I felt great. "Sorry I couldn't resist," he said. No need to be sorry I thought. I leaned in and kissed him back. "Wait, your not 18 yet," he said. "I am next week," I said. He looked relieved. "Let's keep it on the down low until then, I could get in trouble with the police," he said. I agreed, he could get into serious trouble with the police.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" He asked. "No honestly it's fine, I can get the bus," I said. I lifted my bag from his room and went to walk out the door. His hand went on top of mine. "Sorry I was gonna open the door," I said. "Don't be sorry," he said. He kissed me at his door before I left. I ran the whole way to the bus stop as it was pouring.

I got in around 10:30. My brother was sitting in the living room. He asked, "where were you?" "mums been worried sick." I said, "sorry I was at Alyah's doing some revision." I flinched. He stared at me. "Don't lie to me, you weren't at Alyah's she was in the shop, so tell me the truth, where were you?" He said. I had to think fast. "I was in town looking for a job, I want to earn some cash so I don't have to do chores to get money," I said.
"Did you get one?" He said. This was good because I could pretend I was working when I wasn't I was really with Dan. "Yeah I'm working at new look in town," I said.
"That's good, he said.
"I'm going to go to bed I'm really tired, night," I said. I ran up the stairs brushed my teeth and got into my pyjamas. I jumped into bed and went straight to sleep I was that tired.
