So I'm not gonna lie, I don't know what's going on most of the time either. I live in Waterbury, and I'm rather an anomaly here. You see, I'm a human in a universe where they are all gone. There has never been any other humans here as far as I can remember and I don't quite understand why I'm here. There has to be some purpose, shouldn't there?

My name is Jack Fisher, human hero. My best friend happens to be my guardian and also a fairy. Atina has taken care of me since I was small, but I've since outgrown her even more. I mean she was already a tiny fairy.

She is getting tired. It's not really a surprise. After all Kered has been around just as long as her, and always tries to find different ways to try to hurt us. Atina has always protected and put herself in harm's way just to do so. She really shouldn't though.

The thing about Kered is that he is the unspoken ruler of Waterbury. A place that is joyous and should be wonderful is rooted in evil. He takes this magical potion that makes him strong but absolutely ruthless. He forgets all morals. Oh no, thunder. Kered is coming.

I know Atina is scared, but she wouldn't dare show me. She flies up and surveys our surroundings.
"Hide over there, Jack, pretend you're somewhere happy, okay?" She's been telling me that since I was little when this happened.

I can't pretend anymore. I hear everything that goes down. They argue and Atina is making the most sense. But then I hear attack spells. Fairies aren't good at these, they're better at healing. Unfortunately, this is Kered's specialty.

Atina gets back and I can tell she's obviously hurt, so I ask her "Are you okay?"

To which she replies, "I'm fine, just go to sleep." I feign sleep, and I hear her start crying.

Why won't anyone will stand up or do anything about because they are all scared. THE COWARDS. But then again, neither do I. I just watch as the only person who ever cared or loved me repeatedly gets hurt. For me.

This changes today, Kered will hurt us no more.
