Isabel's POV:

I walked down the halls with my friend Chloe next to me complaining about how this week's boyfriend was being an ass and how he was no good.

Don't get me wrong. I love Chloe. She was great, but she did get heartbroken very easily. She was very pretty and school smart but she flung herself to any guy that came onto her.

Stella and I have been good friends with her since fifth grade. The three of us were in the same class with boring Mr. Lance. We used to get in trouble all the time because we always goofed off. Chloe was the serious and mature on out of all three of us. I don't know what happened though.

During the summer before middle school is when I noticed the huge change in her. She slacked off and got lazy. Then she became really interested in boys and her appearance. She was always worrying about how her shiny blonde hair looked. She was still the same Chloe in a way. She knew when to be serious and was still smart but lazy.

In sixth grade though, all three of us got separated. Stella and I were still really close but I met Caroline. She was new. I liked her attitude and style. I befriended her pretty quickly and then Stella and Chloe seemed to like her as well.

"So, then I told him that if he was

going to be so clingy then he can just forget it." Chloe applied some lipgloss while talking. You could barely understand her. "Then he got mad at me. Like seriously? I can't stay tied down to only one guy, you know?" She inspected the tips of her hair. We finally got to my locker and I put in the combination.

"I think you should just dumped him already, Chloe." I said getting my history books out for first period. I hated having History as my first class of the day. Especially on Monday mornings, like today. It ruins my mood.

Chloe leaned back on the locker next to mine. "That's what Caroline and Stella said. I don't know. Maybe I should. Besides I hear that guy, what's his name? Drake. I heard he's crushing on me." She wiggled her eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Oh Chloe, Chloe, Chloe." I said. She made a face at me. I stuck my tongue out at her. I looked at my reflection in the mirror I had in my locker. I applied a little chap stick to my lips. They were starting to burn. I then proceeded to put some lotion on my hands.

"Isabel!" Caroline shouted as she ran to us, her brown curls bouncing up and down. "Dude! So Stella just told me some news about you."She pressed her lips together and then she had a playful grin on her face. I just shrugged and closed my locker.

I began to walk away from them. I was about to turn the corner when I bumped into a guy who made me drop my books. "Hey, you could watch were you're going,"He said to me.

My eyes met his. They were dark and I could tell they were hiding something. They looked cold and when I looked deep into them, I found myself lost. Traveling into this dark wonderland where all the bitter sweet dreams come from.

His hair was dark too. Shiny and all I wanted to do was touch it. My eyes traveled down to his full lips. I fought the urge to kiss him right then and there. Caroline gave me a little nudge which brought me back to reality.

"Excuse me, but you're the one who dropped my books. So neither of us is leaving until you pick them up." I said, crossing my arms together. He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath.

"So, what happens if I don't?" He smirked down at me. I narrowed my

eyes at him and took one step closer.

"There's not an 'if'. You either do it, or I can kick you in the balls." He seemed amused by my response. Chloe sighed from behind me and bent down to pick my books up. She handed them to me but I set them back on the floor. I could tell he was annoyed now. "Pick. Them. Up."
