Chapter Eight

"Hyung, who is that?" Jimin asked.

"She is his wife Kim Ruby. They've been madly in love with each other since they were teenagers." Joon said with a smile.

Jimin was shocked and hurt but he understood and was happy for them.

Taehyung walked into the charity party with his wife.

He introduced her to everyone who was there and he looked at Jimin with a look that said we're not done talking about what happened earlier.

Jimin was kinda shocked and a little uncomfortable that he excused himself to the bathroom without saying anything else for the rest of the night once he returned to the table.

A Few Days Later

"Aahh love I miss you here it's raining and I wanna hug you and sleep comfortably." Taehyung said to Ruby through the phone that he was clinging onto like a baby koala bear. "It's okay hon I'll be back after 2 weeks alright so don't worry." Ruby said as she made herself a cup of tea.

"Ahhh it's okay I'm gonna go to sleep baby because it's a heavy rainstorm and I wanna sleep." Taehyung said as he was yawning. "Plus tomorrow I also have an important meeting to attend." Taehyung added while rubbing his eyes.

"Ahhh okay hon good night I love you." Ruby said as she ended the call.

Taehyung was about to fall asleep when he suddenly remembered everything that happened at his office a few days ago when suddenly his phone rang and then immediately stopped. He looked at the caller before calling the number back. And when they didn't pick up the call he tossed his phone off to the side and layed down getting comfortable enough to fall asleep.

But just before he could drift off to dreamland his phone rang again and thinking it was the same person he answered it while thinking "Aishh this kid."

"Hello, what do you want, kid." Taehyung asked in a sleepy voice now speaking to the person on the other end of the line.

"Kid." The man said "I haven't been called that in years son." Taehyung, now fully awake, asked "Dad, what do you want?" "I need to talk to you but not over the phone in person."

Taehyung was now worried because he had never heard his father sound so scared before."Dad please tell me what's going on. I don't understand what's going o...." Taehyung's words were cut off by his dad.

"Not on the phone, only in person I have to go now. I'll call you later." Taehyung's dad whispered

Cutting the call before Taehyung could ask for any further explanation.

Taehyung now laid on his bed confused about the call he had just received and while thinking of it the whole time he managed to drift off to sleep.

Later on in the night Taehyung's phone went off a few more times but him thinking that it might be Jimin powered off his phone for the rest of the night.

After an hour his house phone was now going off and instead of answering it he unplugged it and went back to bed. Until he heard banging from downstairs at the front door thinking it was Jimin he ran down the stairs.

Now saying "Goshh this brat." Taehyung now reaching his front door, he opened it and saw his father shivering at his door in the cold heavy rain.

"Dad, what are you wait? How did you even get here I never gave you my address?" Taehyung said as he let his dad in and went to get dry clothes and a warm blanket for him.

"Well I tried calling you to tell you that I've been in the country for some time now and that your mom and I have been on good terms for a while but everything only went straight to voicemail." "Sorry about that dad I thought that you might of been someone else." "Really who is it?" "Doesn't matter dad, besides I'm pretty sure that person really hates me and probably likes my friend Ace."

"It's Jimin isn't it" "Yeah wait how did you know about him." "Because I remember the first time you saw him and when you said that he was yours but he just doesn't know it yet I really hoped you were joking and that time like I really hoped but now that I see you I can see that 's not the case and its scary son but that's not why I came here."

"Then why are you here dad?" "I'm here to tell you that well I'm I'm." Before Taehyung's dad could say what he wanted to say he dropped to the floor with a loud thud.

"Dad no dad please." Taehyung's says as he runs to get his phone and power it back on to call the ambulance but accidentally calls Jimin instead in all of his panic.

"What do you want?" "Do you know what time it is right now Taehyung?" Jimin said angrily because he was woken up. "Wait Jimin, why are you on the phone?"' Taehyung said "Because you called me you asshole I'm tired and don't have time for this bye." "No Jimin wait." Taehyung said but the call was already ended and Taehyung called the ambulance this time saying to himself that he'll call Jimin again later and talk to him.

Taehyung was now pacing back and forth in front of the waiting room doors waiting for any news on his dad.
