Well, the answer to that is quite simple really. You have a one in an 8 billion 10 million 347 thousand 654 chances. Also known as 1.2%. The chances may be slim, but they are not zero.

The heart will always persist. It'll get what it wants in the end. Even if it kills.

Just ask the cloudy haired boy, he'll tell you all about it.



***March 1st 2178...

The air was thickened in ash. Her mother told her to stay close, but the girl wasn't known to listen.

She walked through the emptiness of the dead planet.

She had heard stories about it on Iterum, but this was nothing like the stories.

Where were the Cotton candy clouds?

Or the prickly spades of green grass?

And what about the deep blue water?

She was disappointed, until she saw it.

She picked up the mystery box and dusted it off. She had no idea what it was or how it worked. She pressed a few buttons and slammed it on her hand.

The screen was dull, but it was still the brightest thing out there.

There was a young boy in the tiny screen, about 16 to 17 years old. He was holding a cupcake in his hand; he stuck a candle in the icing and lit it.

She watched in confusion.

She found a button on the side of the camera. Sound exited the tiny box, It cut in and out but then steadied.

"I don't even know why I'm doing this right now.

I never thought I'd stoop this low, keeping a diary like an 8th grade girl I might as well be writing in a pink fluffy notebook with one of those stupid locks on it.

It's March 1st..."
