Chapter 1

                           SCARLETT'S POV

Tiredly driving in my car looking at the dark morning sky through the wind shield. I was headed to a meeting with Christian Williams. Christian Williams is a wealthy, intelligent, and down to business guy.

He's the leader of one of the biggest mafias, we were enemies but now were close whenever it comes to work. I arrived at his house, and rang the doorbell his bodyguards greeting me, while inviting me inside.

I walk up to his office and he motions for me to sit down. I ask what the meeting is about. He responds with, "I know you're a hard working person and you do your job very well, so i would like to ask a favor of you." I was a little skeptical at first but i let him finish, "I would like you to protect my daughter.

I only want you to do this job because i don't think anybody else can do it better than you can. Since we have a big target on our back. I wanna make sure shes protected, although I understand if you're busy and your not able to." I was hesitant to agree to his offer, but this seems like a good opportunity to get some extra money so i accepted.

"Sir do you know when do you want me to start?" "Immediately if its possible for you." I don't have anything else planned that day so i decided I'll just start now. "Do you know where she is right now?" "I think at her friends house." He said questionably.

"Okay I'll go find her." I had my brother track her down and she is at one of her friends house so I'll wait outside for her.

                                  MIAS POV

I was outside talking to my friend when a black corvette pulled up in the parking lot I was a little confused then thought my father sent his people to come pick me up. I hurried to gather my things so I could leave.

I said bye to my friend and walked over to the car and got in but i didn't see the face i was expecting. It was Scarlett and i ABSOLUTELY HATED HER she would always try to act interested in whatever i was doing and try to talk to me and it always annoyed me.

Scarlett Parker was the boss of the mafia next to my fathers. Shes one of the only women bosses there are. So shes special in the mafia world. I wish her and my father would become enemies again so i wouldn't have to see her as often but i can manage.

I step into the car taylor swifts 1989 album is playing. I wonder how she knows thats my favorite album.. Anyways. I ask her why shes picking me up, "Your father hired me to be your personal bodyguard" She said smirking at me like she got revenge. Now I'm mad.

I have to see her even more now. Are you serious and she has to follow me around. This is going to be hell. "I know you're mad but this is only for your protection incase somebody attempts to hurt you."
"Why do you care?" "Well for one you're Mia Williams daughter to one of the strongest bosses, and because you're my allies daughter. He would kill me if he found out anything happened to you." "Whatever" I said annoyedly.

She started driving me back home and the car ride was silent. I got out and my dad was waiting at the front gate for me. "So i see you've met your new bodyguard?" "Yeah." "Why aren't you happy about it? You have someone protecting you now." "Because I hate her obviously" "MIA THAT IS VERY RUDE" "I don't care Ive told you this before i didnt want HER as my bodyguard."

"THATS ENOUGH MIA GO TO YOUR ROOM NOW." "Okay whatever."

"Im so sorry my daughter acted out like that i truly apologize." "Don't worry its fine she just needs time." "No its not fine she needs to learn her childish behavior is embarrassing not only to her but to me as well. Anyways you should get going ill see you tomorrow." "Okay bye"

MIAS POV

Ugh I hate my dad so much I know he's only doing it for my safety but still. Im going to get her fired by sneaking to the club with my friends without her knowing. My dad would be furious if he found out she wasn't watching me. Ill have my friend pick me up.

                           TIMESPAN 2 AM
SCARLETT'S POV

Ugh I have to be at this place watching her. Why couldn't she just stay in bed, that would make my job much easier. I guess it isn't supposed to be easy, I notice her talking to some guys but I don't really mind it until she starts leaving with them.

So obviously i go after her because she looks really drunk right now and doesn't know whats going on. "Hey shes coming home with me you don't need to take her." "Who are you to tell me I cant take her. She obviously wants to go with us." said the guy who literally looks like a rat "Im actually her bodyguard so i really suggest you put her down and let her come with me." "Fine."

That was easy. "Anyways lets take you home." "No.. I-I can't go back to my dad like this.. He would kill me." "I can't just have you missing though." "Just tell my dad i wanted to go to your house." "But wouldn't he be suspicious since you said you "hate me ??" "He wouldn't care." "Okay then lets go."

I pick her up and carry her out to the car, she starts to fall asleep in my arms as im halfway there. I put her in the car and i drive back to my house.
