Weeks had passed helping (y/n) slowly get used to her new life, her new working life, she enjoyed it to say the least. Despite the laughter and giggles something clouded her mind, leaving her a dazed, her attention being short as of all she could think was that. Not even the quietness of the popstar's dressing room helped her ease her mind.

"(Y/n)?" she heard Wally's voice, it was coated with concern as he held her wrist, making her stop patting his face mindlessly with her brush. He sat up from his seat as he stared her down, he realised her eyes seemed different, her expression odd which brought him great worry. His eyebrows lowered, showing a face of sadness as he carefully let go of her "Are you okay? You can tell me... I know we met just a few days ago and..–" he stopped his hand from reaching her cheek, instead he patted her shoulder "—and you may not trust me fully yet..but I want to help you in any way I can," he admitted giving her a gentle smile.

"So please..." he begged as he continued to stare at her eyes.
No reply.
Wally sighed, "It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, I'm here for you."

He embraced her with a hug, he doesn't usually for he is unsure what to do yet here he is. He could feel the warmth of her body upon his as he hugged her tighter, his hand running through her hair; soon he heard muffled sobbing, he looked down to see her tear-filled eyes as she tried weeping as silent as she could muster.

He wiped her tears away while she continued to weep. "Shh...it's okay.." he reassured her, "I'm sorry..–" she whispered "I didn't mean to cry... I–" before she could finish, he pulled her close.

"You don't need to explain, you can cry it out," he told her in a soft voice.
"But the show.." she contradicted, looking at him.
"Don't think about it, it can wait. I'll deal with it," he said with a smile.

She looked down, her muffled cries slowly getting louder. He patted her head letting her release her emotions, humming a small tune. "You can tell me when you're ready," he muttered as he hummed, all he heard next was a small 'thank you'. He closed his eyes, the smile not leaving his face as his voice soothed her, her breathing soon went to a rest as her tears soon vanished.

She looked at him, trying to smile "Maybe...maybe next time, I'll tell you.." she said as she break away from the hug before he could even speak, someone knocked on the door averting his gaze: "Mr. Darling, we need you on set!" The voice announced followed by faint footsteps, he sighed as he turned back to (y/n) "You rest here," he ordered her as he held her to lay her down at the couch "But work! I—" he hushed her, his finger on her lips. "Let me take care of this," he told her as he placed a blanket on her "Now rest. There's some snacks and drinks by the table in front of you, feel free to take some, as many as you wish." He told her, referring to the food that was originally for him, he placed a red rose on the table before opening the door, about to leave.

"Let me do this for you, (Y/n)." He gave her a reassuring and calm smile as he left, the door closing behind him.

(Y/n) could only watch him leave, the silence deafening her ears as she gazed on the rose. She smiled at it, softly, she picked it up gently as if she was holding something fragile like glass; admiring it with its beauty she began to calm down, humming a small song as she laid down back at the couch, carefully examining the red rose at her hands.

"I'll let myself enjoy the present..." she vowed to herself, her eyelids feeling heavy. "I'll let time tell...how far I'm willing to go," she began to sleep, the rose still with her as if it was a teddy bear.

It felt as if it was a precious gift, from someone dear...maybe because it is.

"Wally, is something bothering you?" another co-worker asked him as she prepared her hair before the show begins, he shook his head not glancing on her "No Julie, no I am not..." he admitted, his hand on his chin. His mind was clouded thinking of (y/n), thinking if maybe someone bullied her or worse, death of someone she loved—seeing her so down made his heartbreak, he wanted to stay there, by her side, listen, comfort her! He remembered when he stopped his hand to caress her cheek, he 'tsk' at himself "That would have made her feel loved, won't it?" he thought regretting his shyness. Julie, with a concern look, patted his back "Who or what is it now?"

"It's (Y/n)," he replied.
"The newcomer?" she asked.
He only nodded as a response.

Julie, froze and understood the situation, a hint of worry turned into a big one as she stuttered—she knew how he felt for her, how wouldn't she? All 9 of them worked together as actors since they were children, they were practically siblings. "But...Wally if you–" he sighed making her stop talking "I'm willing to risk it..." he looked at her dead in the eyes.

She could only stare back at him, he truly mean what he said, there was no use in talking him out of this. The last time he acted like this when one of them were treated harshly, he acts like this towards who he holds dearly, close to his heart. "I haven't met (y/n) personally, but let me tell you this Wally: she'll be okay, do your best to be there for her," she advised as she smiled at him. "We'll be on air soon, places everyone!" the director announced, Wally immediately walked up towards the shooting area, he turned back at Julie with his iconic smile and doing a thumbs up, before jumping back into work.

Julie waved at him yet as soon as he turned his back her smiled turned into a sour frown, he placed her hand to her chest in attempt to contain this bitter feeling—jealousy. Not once she felt like this before but after knowing...about (y/n), seeing how close they gotten so quickly during and out of set in the workplace made her feel this bitter feeling, she knew Wally since they were kids, they talked more yet he fallen head over heels towards—

"Her..." she whispered, her grip onto herself tightening. Her gaze soften as she realised how Wally changed after knowing (y/n), her heart still ached but she sighed "You were pretty mean and sassy before...towards people other than us," she looked at the ground "But when you met her...you've became softer than before...I guess she brought out a better side of you," she realised.

"That was something I couldn't do," she finally accepted the situation with a small smile "It makes you happy afterall."

"Good work today, Mr. Darling!" Jason, Wally's manager, compliment before waving goodbye. Wally opened his dressing room's door, glancing at (y/n) sleeping peacefully at the couch, his heart pounded seeing her like that—like a sleeping kitten, seeing her so calm after seeing her crying, it eased his worries.

Walking closer, his heart even sped faster as he realised she held the rose he gave so close to her, it looked like she was protecting it in a way. He collected himself before shaking her gently "Wake up (y/n)," he whispered repeatedly, only stopping when she fluttered her eyes open. "Time to clock out," he told her as she stood from the couch, stretching her arms "Did I slept that long..?" she asked as she rubbed her eyes, he could only chuckled and nod as a response.

(Y/n) folded the blanket neatly before she looked at him, she gave him a soft smile and thanked him which made himself smile, he didn't even knew he was until he realised it. "My pleasure," he said as he offered his hand "I'm also going to clock out," he seemed to look a bit flustered "You don't mind...if we?" (Y/n) chuckled as she held his hand, Wally then took the same red rose he gave her earlier and tucked it behind her ear, looking at her with a soft and kind look.

As both of them packed up their stuff they left the building, the dark sky above them. As soon as they stepped out a black car awaits them, Jason waiting (rather impatiently) there with a grumpy face (even when he tried to hiding it). Wally quickly glance at (y/n) before he waved goodbye "See you tomorrow," he said as he entered the vechile.

She watched the car drove off the distance, her hand felt empty and cold but recalling his face made her heart flutter. She took the flower from behind her ear and held it close once again before she walked off to catch the bus way home.

"Mom, I'm home!" (Y/n) announced closing the door, not long after her mother peeked from the corner, her welcoming smile greeting her back. Her mother expected her to fix herself up, put down her back, tie her hair in a more comfortable style, change clothes—yet the first thing her daughter did was to grab a vase, a beautiful and colorful vase, not long after preparing the vase she saw (y/n) placed a red rose in the small vase, a gentle smirk forming on her face.

"Oh! And who gave you that?" her mother asked, walking closer as (y/n) held the vase "From a colleague," she whispered. She said nothing more and walked off to her room, placing the vase at the desk next to her bed. Her mother chuckled to herself "Oh dear, you're such a bad liar. It's from someone you love," her mother thought.
